The BMR is the biggest and most beefy one I found. It's really the only ricer part I put on my car.

I put one on my 98 formula that had 125,000 hard miles on it and notice a difference. I put the same one on my 00 TA with 60,000 miles on it and noticed nothing. I think if the car has been abused it will help some, maybe.

I built one for free so I figured why not. like every one else has mentioned its nice for leaning on when working under there.

At frist I could feel the difrence then it go's away .I hit a curb drifting (dumb)slamed the right tire in to the fender bent lower a-arm and cross member but didn't do a thing to the upper a-arm also bent the shock my top side was ok.I think that the strut tower help min. damage?? Now i get to up grade front end all a-arms,shocks,lowering springs and k-member . What a way to upgrade .

make sure you get teh UMI k-member, if you getting an aftermarket one.
the BMR one is not made to take cornering loads.
Ouch that must have hurt...

Yea , ordered umi -road raceer k-member, spohn upper & lower a-arms, eibach sportline springs F/Back, kyb (agx) shocksF/Back. Read about the shocks but will let u guy know how long they last LOL. thanks for the info!!!

I voted yes, but it's due to what I've read about the folks that swear that STB's work, and depending on the circumstances I think STB's would make a difference.

On a stock suspension f-body.

Aftermarket springs and shocks and a STB? I still think it will make a difference.

If the corner carving freaks(like me) have done the Koni SA shocks and aftermarket springs AND sways, I bet the STB doesn't do much, cuz the suspension is working MUCH better and is causing less stress on the unibody, does this make sense?

And if the above f-bodies with Koni's/Strano springs or GC Coilovers or HR's or Hotchkis or whatever and sways AND also have SFC's, either welded or bolt-ons, I bet the STB don't do shit.

Only thing i noticed was less shock in the steering when going over tracks.. thats it. got a brand new UMI in the package for 50 bucks. Couldnt say no.

A strut tower brace does serve one purpose.
Lifting the car off the k-member with a hoist.

Ive heard of some people dropping cars of stands/jacks and using a cherrypicker to get them up because the jack wont fit underneath...

I think the single best thing you can do to improve handling on a stock fbody is replace the "waffled" rear LCA bushings with solid rubber similar to 1LE bushing. When i did that i noticed the difference and my car only has 30K mi on it.

New LCA's in general are a great improvement.

I just went with all new tubular control arms with poly bushings. Much easier to install since there's no need to press out any bushings, and the arms themselves are much stronger than the stock stamped steel ones.

I got the LCA's and panhard bar in one package for a very reasonable price from one of the sponsors.
