And, you can lose to Cleveland at home & Arizona on the road, & nearly get beat by Carolina at home too.
You can also have Roy Williams give you the ball on your own 7 yard line too. But yet, still no guarantee you'll make the playoffs. Don't forget that 49ers game someone didn't deserve either.

Typical response from the eternal un-realist.

Usually, you never answer or respond, but rather make a different back-handed comment.
Were you beaten as a child?
In case you're too inept to figure it out, I was talking about YOUR Aint's.
Lost to Cleveland at home
Lost to Arizona on the road
Had Roy Williams give the ball away on the 7 yard line that should've ended the game
Barely beat Carolina by the skin of their yellow teeth
Should've lost to the 49ers as wellLast edited by FasstChevys; 11-30-2010 at 12:26 PM.

How about:
Well it seems to me that if the Saints were so much better, then the game wouldn't have been so close at the end that they had to depend on their crappy kicker.
And other than Roddy's push (which yes was a clear missed foul) what did they do to 'fix' that game? And if they had called it, they were still in long field goal range anyway.
The 49ers game I can only vaguely recall.
And that catch that coulda been challenged was hard to see, even the announcers had to see if from all the different angles. Can't blame the refs for that one. Was that 4th down? Can't remember. If not then it wouldn't have ended the drive anyway.

A loss is a loss, what else is there to say about the early season Browns and Cards games. I know what, just that, it was early in the season.
The Saints are now at their mid-season form, funny how it is called mid-season form. You can’t admit that since you are still harping on an early season win by on 3 against a division rival but mysteriously forgot to mention the 31 point margin of victory against the same team just a few weeks ago…
I wonder which win is more telling of how good the team is now...
Saints are getting better each week, the Viqueens are irrelevant and the Failclown are just as average now as they were at the beginning of the season.

Sure, let's do that:
NE over DET
DAL over NO
NYJ over CIN
ATL over GB (tough call, but taking the home team)
PIT over BUF
CLE over CAR
HOU over TEN
NYG over JAC
MIN over WAS
MIA over OAK
KC over SEA (coin flip)
BAL over TB
PHI over CHI
STL over DEN
SD over IND (it's November/Dec - the Bolts never seem to lose in the late months)
SF over ARI
Yea - two wrong this week.......but, you being perfect and all, I'm sure you got every pick right, as you do each and every week.
And you do?? Who the fuck are you?? Oh wait, I know, you think you're Mr. Perfect, I briefly forgot.

I'd say the vikings tanking this season is the highlight of the season this year for me.
The main difference between the boys and vikings is that dallas has potential to be a really good team next year (if they get a better QB) and the vikings are looking at a rough stretch before being good again. Dallas has talent....they just need someone to coach it. Think they might have that guy right now so if JJ will play owner instead of coach they'll be a playoff contender next year.

Dallas has talent, but they also have some big time problems, first and foremost being an aging offensive line that is marginal on its best days. Until they fix the line, they are not a playoff contender. The linebackers are aging and suspect and the secondary has some talent, but also has some big problems there too.
From a neutral perspective, the Saints are not nearly as good/dominant/hungry as they were last year. The Vikings are a terrible team, and probably every bit deserving of biggest disappointment title this year. And their future is very bleak looking as well. They have no QB and the defense has looked "old and shaky" as the year has progressed.
I see 4 teams with a shot to win the NFC this year, Falcons, Packers, Eagles and maybe the Saints. The Bears maybe, but I am not sold on them yet. They have looked great at times, but also have looked flat out awful at times. Their remaining schedule is fairly tough as well, games with the Jets, Patriots, at GB, at Minn(I think) and the Lions. I don't see them finishing out real strong.

Out of that list the only team I wouldn't want to face in the playoffs are the eagles. Falcons and Packers are marginal IMO....they're decent teams but I don't think they have what it takes to get over the hump and are fairly predictable game plan wise. The eagles on the other hand can be explosive if you're not careful and have a ton of speed. Game planning for vick has got to be a nightmare. I have a lot of faith in Sean Payton and he will have those guys motivated. You also have to keep in mind that BOTH starting RB's have been out most of the year and a huge portion of their DB's have been in and out all year. They've played games without a true safety in there....last week Jenkins and Sharper were both out. All that said and they're 8-3 and looking better each week. They'll make a push.
