good numbers for 3500. same here. I spent 6k to get from 290 to 368, but actually minus the suspension work (SFC, springs, shocks, tower brace, realignment, labor = 2.5K) ..
so 3.5-4k for 75rwhp gain bolted on is good.

if she was "jealous" of the car, then she'd be gone for being a conceited dumb shit.

if she was calling me out saying "we can't afford to live if you buy heads/cam" then it's my fault and the car needs to chill. rememeber, cars are a hobby; family is most important. I will not sacrifice them for a fucking car anyday.

that being said: she has totally agreed on a hugger-orange vert in 2010. unless we have a kid

ya mate, the tires make a whole lot of difference, also look into torque arms shit like that, the power that u got don't waste it, I gotto built my tranny=stall it, then get them 17'' tires and wider, then torque arms to use te torq, but yeah at 470tq I will most probably look into 12 bolt.. it may break soon at the track.

    2 reasons i won't buy an 09.

1: too early for all the "bugs" to go away.

2: i'd like to take a year off of car payments, as the batmobile will be payed of in 09.

like I would not jepordize the family financial status over the hobby. I'm so lucky I got a nice bonus, and some tax money back, I put 2.5k on top and got a 402 stroker. otherwise I could do with a 2k new ls1 block and call it a day... so yeah family is #1 on me list.

thanks. she's learning. I kinda surprised her with the car [she didnt' know i bought it when i did] and hated it for a long time. I think she still quietly hates it, but she's less adamint toward it. Her words were "i think you have a beautiful car, i just wish you wouldn't drive it like an asshole. if you were more responsible with it, and not street racing with joel, i'd probably enjoy it more"

Oh well...like they say a good woman makes a good man. Hopefully this summers shinanigans are chill

I am done with my spending on the car for this year! 7k was enough.
well more like 1.5k the rest 2.5k insurance, 2k bonus, 1k tax return.
I am looing to buy a house in Nov/Dec...so putting my money in that basket, hopefully by end of year I got a good 20k in there to work some downpayment and closing costs.
