Maple Red Metallic- 2000 Pontiac Trans Am M6
Agreed. However when I changed badges I totally changed them with new old stock Sport Gold emblems. Silver's been over done on this color IMO. Bonus when a new door was needed and in the end the rarer emblems (vs Maple Red) turned out to be CHEAPER (28/per against almost 50/per in MRM).
As for today: Finally got my 'new to me' 10 bolt in and drove it, rode it, and didn't break it. Moans a little but I'm guessing the new oil needs to mesh in the gears some. Better than a bent housing and toasted carrier bearing on my old one (which is going up for sale local pickup. PM if interested)

Pewter- 2002 Trans Am WS6 M6
Well ordered a magnaflow catback the other day and as i was pulling into the garage my friend noticed the passenger side of the car was scraped up and dented. Looks like someone hit my car why I was at work....again. I hate people. Looks like it will be spending some time at the body shop.

Put a new axle seal in the 9". Also adjusted the parking brakes. Time to start the winter projects on it soon......

Sat here in Afghanistan staring longingly at the photos of my car for a good 10 minutes. 4 more months till my R&R leave but weather in January may keep the car in the garage anyway. There is always on-line shopping for parts I don't need now but may some day in the future when all the NOS stuff is gone. Guess I'd better get shopping.

Added a few of the basics, lid, LMII exhaust, SFCs, and did a Frost tune. Still less than 9K miles. Just never home to drive it. Would like to do a stall next but as soon as I get back I'll be busy moving and getting into a new job so it will be a while. Oh well. Plenty of time...later.

I went with a 3,200 stall in our car and love it. We drive ours both on the street and track so it is a good compromise.

Don't they make the "Transzilla" or some similarly named variant of the T56 that is supposed to be good up to around 800 hp?

There are shops that can upgrade the T-56 to handle much more than that. The one that did mine builds them to handle well over 1000 hp.

Today I dropped off the '02 WS6 I bought one week ago. Back at the dealership.
The diff made a slight hum when I got the car. 5 days later the humming was a scream that overpowered car and stereo.
Fortunately, the dealer appears to be doing what's necessary to keep me happy with my purchase. Now if only they would replace the entire rear with a 9".

It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.
