I like mine just the way it is. If someone thinks its a six they are retarded. When someone asks I just tell them yea its a six and race them for $100. They are always surprised when they see that "V-6" spoiler disappearing before their eyes.

Just saw this thread --- had always thought I as the only one with reservations about the factory "picnic table" spoiler/trunk lid on converts.... don't know if anyone brought this up but is it possible to make the tail end of the Trans Am hardtop hatch into a trunk lid using the lower portion of the convert trunk lid, and then add the T/A spoiler...?

Really? its not like doing an SS spoiler on a Z or a V6? I would have thought it would be fairly simple.

no . . a lot of custom body work would be involved to remove the normal spoiler. not unless you were just plannin on puttin the high rise spoiler on top of the low one, which prob would not look right

LOL...good freakin' luck getting that accomplished on a firebird convertible. I hope you are good at bodywork and fiberglassing. Anything is possible, but that job is quite involved.

    Aftermarket/Wings West

You could go with an aftermarket spoiler, and I don't mean a huge ricer wing, something more like the wings west kit.

    Would you consider than?
