I think Death Row should be like musical chairs. When the music stops, the one left without... loses!

Dark Gray 02 Tahoe- A few too many Lsx's!
I think we're paying too much money to support these criminals on death row and shit. I think we should stop taking up so much space in our prisons and kill them. Especially if they killed someone (which is why they're sittin in jail)....Like Ron White says.....Texas has the Express Lane....Damn Skippy!

many people believe that the worst thing our justice system can do is to execute an innocent person. Just as it is in keeping with the fact we set free people we are almost certain committed a crime because it was not beyond a shadow of doubt. the death row is one place to safeguard that no one is mistakenly executed... through use of appeals etc.

i voted for "only the worst cases".
we don't have death penalty in germany (mainly as a result of our history from 1933-45), but i think in some cases it would be appropriate.

A guy here in CT was exonerated for rape after spending 18 years in jail when DNA evidence proved he was innocent. Had he been put to death (not that he was on death row), he would have died with the world believing he was a rapist.
I'm not a big fan of the process since the majority of these degenerates are likely guilty, but if it saves an innocent person in the end it's worth it.

point is , some new test is not the answer ...good old police work and getting witnesses and all the other evidence is what is needed ,,,,,

it is a fact that eyewitnesses are not nearly as reliable as people think they are. people change their stories over time, forget details, when asked questions by authority figures get nervous and get screwed up. witnesses are not reliable.
yes DNA evidence can be tampered with but it is more reliable than eyewitnesses.
Wisconsin recently passed a death penalty law that required DNA evidence as one of the stipulations to receiving the death penalty.

No 1 witness is not .. but if you can get 2-3 and their stories kinda stay together ....
If you have 3 people that all see the same thing you will get 3 differint stories .. But they will be some points that everyone will see ....

i'm in favor of gladiator style fighting between death penalty convicts. the winner live till he meets someone another convict who can kick his ass. stage it in vegas, wager on the outcome, play it on pay for view. we all win. carpe deim-carpe noctem-carpe cervasi. (seize the day-seize the night-seize the beer)

1 witness is no more reliable than 3. 3 people give 3 different stories, but only 1 witness...well that's just not solid. you can't be certain without a 2nd witness that what they saw was correct...there is no way to back up their arguments.

I agree with the death penalty based on the crime commited but then again sometimes its almost making it easy on the person. The problem with our justice system is theres people that get the death penalty that are innocent. Also what crimes get the death penalty and which dont?

I didn't read the post, but:
Hell yes. Kill em all and put my taxes to better use, like trying to reduce damn traffic. Why the hell do they think a three lane on-ramp that merges into one lane that merges into a 2 lane highway will work? Complete dipshits design these roads. Damnit
sorry... rant off
