We we're just talking about that area today. I think this year we're gonna take the kids to the water park just north of there. H2OBX it's called. Theres one in VA beach but it's always packed. Going to try that one and see if it's less busy on a weekday evening.
There's a Capt George's buffet there....we do the one in VA beach. If you like seafood I would definitely hit that one. My son ups his crab leg record every year...he ate 105 last year. I made him stop because I was tired of sitting there watching him eat since we were all long finished.

So much for having a clean car. Our road was muddy this morning and it rained again both going over and coming back from Court.

The wife is weird about buffets. Tried the quick stop in Naggs Head aka Biscuits N Porn for lunch yesterday. Not impressed

But in 1987, that was HUGE. Most cars in that era were sub-200 horsepower. You also have to take into account the torque those engines produced, I want to say around 355 lb.ft. Come on down to PA and you can drive my '87 Turbo Regal and form your own opinion.

Also the GNX was reported to be faster than the Corvette.

In the quarter mile, it laid down the smack on the Corvette.

If I recall, all of the turbo Buicks in '86 and '87 would beat a Corvette in the quarter. I want to say that they ran around a 13.2 or so which is not extraordinary, but again, for that time period it was very fast for a bone stock car.
