^^ Sounds good to me.
My DD's for several years were a 1998 Ford Ranger and then a 2004 Ford Ranger. The '98 was a stripper that I had to add AC to and the '04 was loaded. I really liked them both, but when we bought the Suburban I sold the '04 to a friend and then DD'd our '98 Dodge Durango until I bought the Caddie.

Camaro checked out just fine. Has a little rust in the lower right quarter and on the roll pan, but other than that she is solid. Found the build sheet for the engine and transmission. The 350 has been bored .060", align honed, and built with some decent parts. I have to run the numbers on the cam and heads to see what they are.

No worries. I slept away most of the evening yesterday. Was going to catch a game, but have been catching up on things in the hotel room. Off to Sheffield, PA in the AM.

My parents just bought a new Explorer, can't remember if its 14 or 15. really nice vehicle. they opted for one trim level less than the limited.

They are pretty solid vehicles. Just stock up on wheel bearings, ignition coils and buy yourself one of these sets

Why do the plugs snap off in Fords?

My neighbor just told me about the plug issue with that motor. He said it could turn into a huge expense! What's your thought on that Carpy? With 45K should I be concerned? Also he said something about having the Tranny flushed! I do know the owner said it was only serviced at the Ford dealer for everything since new.. and he has all the records. Something I'll have to check on.

I'd replace them before 90K. Kits like I posted usually are all you'll ever need for broken plugs. I have a nice OTC set that grabs the plugs by more than just the hex. It'll also remove the broken end should it break.
Explorers are easier to get to the plugs vs F Series vehicles
At 45K I'd more concerned about an ignition coil than a plug problem. Common issue on Fords. Trans if he hasn't had it done by 45K get it done by 60 and you shouldn't run into problemsLast edited by GTP231; 08-12-2015 at 04:02 PM.
