From next weeks previews it looks like there's going to be a standoff in the street with some other survivors. I'm guessing they found the bag of guns and don"t wanna give them back.

okay this episode started out slow, but the way it ended, I was jumping on the couch losing my mind.
(yes I skipped the overadvertised Topgear promo, I feel like i've seen the whole episode from all the commercials.)

Agreed. It was a slower episode but the ending was awesome. Anyone know when the second season starts?

I dont think that was the end to the first season. I thought there was 2 more episodes still... Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Whole in the plot/story
They needed to explain how they got from the city to the camp that fast. They were at least 15- 20 miles line of sight. Average person can walk 3-4 miles an hour as long as they are not carry anything like say 30 lb pack or for this purpose a bag full of guns and ammo. They would take any where between 5-6 hrs of walking. Now multiply this with the bag of guns and zombies it would take a day because you would have to avoid every single one of them. It can be down just not as fast as they showed.
InB4 they stole another vehicle - They walked/ran up the gravel road, no getting out of vehicle shown.

I should add that in this mater I know what I'm talking about. I've done many 12 mile road marches with 30lb rucks in 3 hrs. Also have completed 3x 25 mile road marches with 45lbs had to complete in 12 hrs while avoiding any contact. Those were brutal and a mother f.....!!

And this group wasn't composed of in-shape conditioned soldiers used to such marching. The overweight black guy in particular would never be able to maintain that pace. Unsure about if the cop who had been in a bed-ridden coma for years would be back in top shape yet. Possibly the mountain hick who is used to ranging and hunting could do it...

here is how those zombies are getting to the camp...they didn't follow anybody! there are prolly MILLIONS of them in the city right? so, they randomly go out in all directions from the city for what ever reason... there are bound to be random zombies all over the place.. some alone, some in bunches. i don't think they "herd" like cattle but maybe there are just leaders and followers at random. i would get as far away from the cities as possible, that should yield fewer randoms and even fewer groups.
for example, pour a jar of skittles out on your floor and watch how they randomly "wander" from the center. same idea. pick a spot on the floor close to the center and call it "camp" then see how many hit camp.

They made a comment in the show that the zombies never climbed that high up the mountain before. Dunno if that means they resisted because of the extra physical effort required or what... But until that point none had climbed that high, until the previous episode when that one was up there munching on the deer.
I don't think they've said this in the show yet, but from reading about the comic series, the zombies tend to keep going in a given direction when they think they're following food, so it could just be that group had trudged off after the group during their last noisy exit from the city, and had finally made it to the area...

This I believe hits the nail on the head, the dumbass asian that drove the challenger with the loud ass alarm going off back to camp. I mean really was you expecting the zombies to say screw it I am not walking that far haha.
I know exactly what your talking about that shit fucking sucks, even after all the physcial trainning and stuff you do, it still cannot make the pain go away lol. Just makes it easier for you to do these tasks and jobs at hand such as 25 miles with a 45 pound pack!!!
