I'm sure that Ford having to add enough HP to match or come close to the Camaro is just a coincidence.

Just like GM adding a second shift because the Camaro is selling so well.

Of course, all of that comes at a price. Shelby lists the GT350's MSRP at $33,995, which doesn't sound that bad until you realize it doesn't include the base car. With the 2011 Mustang GT coming in at just over $30,000, the total price of the GT350 will actually exceed that of the GT500

Go to some dealers and see what kind of mark up they got... the dealers thought they could charge an extra 5 or 10k in the economy. Also they were never intended to sell at the same rate as mustangs and camaros. And the reason I wouldn't pay the extra for the srt is the rt's for thousands left run almost just as good... some better.

Challengers are nice also, but I still think the '11 gt takes the cake, I won't comment much on the new Maros since this is a gm site......all I'm gonna say is, ford is onto something with this new gt.....I'm a BIG fan of that car, has to be the nicest stang ford put out since the new edge Mach, and terminator

well I guess the new "high comp" engine is boost friendly. Looks like its going to be another epic car era, right before they are out lawed.

You can run all the compression and boost you want, just might end up with two degrees of timing

A dumb question, don't feel like looking it up... is Ford backing this engine with a 6 speed, or they staying with the 5? I honestly feel that they would have one hell of a combination if they go with a 6 speed.
