i was pulled over in crawford texas when president bush lived there. i was going to a party and i saw this cop sitting on the side of the road. i made sure i was driving under the speed limit, had my seat belt and even stoped at the stop sign and waited a few seconds to make sure there was not any reason to get pulled over. as i passed the cop he started to follow me for like 2 miles. then he hit his lights. when i asked the cop why he pulled me over he said it sounded like i was speeding. Sounds like i was speeding, WTF. he asked what i was doing and where i was going and i told him. later that hight the same fu*king cop pulled me over again. this time he was sitting in the gas station parking lot. when i pulled up to the light i saw him and he turned his car on and the headlights came on. after the light turned green i started to drive and he got behind my girlfriend that was following me for about a mile. he then hit his lights and she move over and he came after me again. this time he told me to get out of the car and that he was going to take me to jail for spinning my tires. i told him where and he said at the light. i told him he was crazy and that i saw him sitting there. he then said that he saw and heard me. i told him for us to go back there to see the marks in the road and that this was harassment. afote about 5 min of him bitching at me about how he is tired of these young punk kids in this area he let me go. he told me if he was my car back in crawford that night he would take me to jail. needless to say i did not go back to crawford for a few days. i respect cops but there is a line when your doing your job and being a dick.

Now I find your story believable and I offer you an apology from the profession. That stuff does happen and I won't deny it. Chances are he was pissed because of something that happened PRIOR to when he saw you and he made the big no-no of taking it out on the wrong person. That can't be justified. Only with strong fortitude and lots of experience do you get good at making sure you apply the appropriate level of wrath to the right people. He needs to learn quickly becasuse those are the actions that are remembered. Sorry about your bad experience.

I went out for my weekly blow off some steam drive, but made the mistake of going to Fort Collins, rather then just going for a drive in the mountains. The cop cuts off a couple cars then almost hits a truck, damn near runs him off the road, just to turn on his lights behind me. I knew he'd been following for awhile, so I had cruise set at 32 in a 30, seat belt on, and no reason to pull me over. He informs me that my liceanse plate isn't right... I think, isn't right!? WTF does that mean??? So he takes my info, then comes back 5-10 minutes later to inform me everything is ok, and I can leave, then walks away.

I ask him what the problem was and for the local police dept phone number, so I can file a harassment complaint. The officer laughs at me and tosses a card in my card, saying the numbers on there and walks away. So I pick up my phone and call the number, then get put on hold, while they get the supervisor. While on hold another cop comes up to my passenger side and tells me I need to move my car, so I tell him he can wait until I'm off the phone, because I don't want a ticket for driving while on the phone. He tells me to MOVE MY CAR. I tell him to hold... Long story short, I got a tour of the police station as well as a harassment grievence with the Fort Collins police dept.

I'm fed up with being profiled for driving a sports car, as well as harassed while just going for a drive... I really like to burn things...

You seemed a bit rebellious when it comes to law enforcement. It doesn't matter how the L.E.O. drove to catch you. You must know that a L.E.O. has a PDT in is vehicle and most likely he ran your license plate. Alot of info comes up on license plates. Especially if others have driven your vehicle and gotten themselves in trouble and they don't mention it to you in turn a warrant pops up for them with your vehicle info. Lots of possible issues can come up.
He said you were clear. I would have just left. By the way 2 miles over the speed limit is illegal.
