I have not yet dropped the radiator back in to check my clearances. I found a couple of fan shrouds that may work, but the distance from the radiator to the water pump pulley will dictate how I go on this. I would dearly love to be able to drop in a mechanical fan and be done with it.

Transmission status report...It's going to hurt much more....
The major issues:
This time the 3rd gear locker ring broke in 3 places.
All syncros are trashed and need replaced, 1-4 syncro teeth are rounded off in spots (this is why I had hard time shifting)
5-6 gear ring is wraped.
Main Output shaft is seriously FUBAR in 3 spots.
Minor Issues:
Counter Shaft, 5 & 6 gears have a minor chipped tooth that looks like it may have been from a key when it broke apart. Minor in that there are no cracks in the gears, just the very tip of the gear tooth is missing but all are still usable.
So my options are:
1) fix all of the major issues with a stock output shaft for $1060
2) Fix all of the major issues but upgrade to Viper shaft (which comes with new 1350 Yoke and some more stuff) for $1340
3) or wait till Hell freezes over to save up enough for a TR6060 conversion for $5000.
Those prices are on top of the stg 2 build already paid.
Going with Viper option.

A Dodge needing front end parts. Imagine that.
Not sure what I will bring down to the cruise in tonight. I finally have the radiator mounted to the support and set in place on the '40. May actually finish that project before the snow flies again.

I guess, if Jeff's goin, and Dad's goin, i might as well go to the cruise in as well. Nice cool temps and decent weather.

I had a 03 Buick Rendezvous and like it a lot. Did great in the snow with the all wheel drive. Made a mistake in trading it in for a 08 Grand Cherokee.

The wife currently drives a 06 trailblazer EXT. It's been a decent car.... but I did just notice it's dripping trans fluid. I do have to say though that inline 6 has no balls and gets pretty bad gas mileage. My crew cab 6.5ft bed f150 with a v8 gets better gas mileage by 2-3mpg... and weighs 600lbs more.

Have some company the next couple days here during the week. Zach got suspended 3 days for fighting. He's been getting bullied by some kids at school. We tried going through the proper channels and it didn't help shit. Friday a kid poured Zach's milk in his lunch tray so we came up with our own plan. Yesterday some kid swiped his fruit cup off his lunch tray so Zach went and put his stuff up, came back to the table, and kicked that kids ass in front of the whole lunch room. Proud as hell of him and willing to bet the horse shit stops now.

Good for Zach! Having a large audience is definitely in his favor. Worth the 3 days in the long run.

It's been an on going problem for a couple years. Zach doesn't don't want to fight and was scared because they're all bigger than him. Even this time he said he was gonna move tables at lunch. I talked to him about it and told him eventually he'll run out of tables. Then explained the whole "it's not the size of the dog in the fight...." thing and told him to not telegraph any punches but when he throws the first one don't stop until someone breaks it up. I saw the video....he laid an ass beating on the kid. Punched him in the face then grabbed him around the neck and drug his ass out of the seat where he continued to beat his ass until some seniors broke them up. He got one last shot in to the face as they were being pulled apart. The lesson here is don't mess with Zach's fruit cup I told him he may be getting a t shirt out of he deal. He text me before it happened and said "he just stole my fruit cup.....to ahead and start the truck"
