Lost more of my post count today! WTF?

Same here -- looks like they bagged the count in the regional forums. I noticed it Sunday afternoon and could not figure out what happened.

Just for the record I'm also thinking twice about posting tech anymore aswell.. No sence in helping folks if it is going to just be deleted! I've already cut how often I even visit the site..

Same here too I got back from VA on Sunday, and realized my post count was cut a little over half. Did'nt give it much thought till I posted in a thread and then later the whole thread was gone!

I wonder what the ultimate goal is here. There has to be a reason for this other than just keeping 'trolls' away.

Maybe a mod will post up an explanation and the reasons behind all the changes taking place the last few days

Honestly I wouldn't worry about it too much. A number of things could have happened.

-Double posted the thread in two different forums and the one with less replies got deleted
-Title changed to fit the topic better
-flame war occured
-a troll party happened where they were competing for the best scat/gore/etc pictures
etc etc

Although the last two are more likely to have individual posts edited or deleted, and the mods here seem to be more likely to lock threads than outright delete them, in any case it's not that big of a deal, shit happens.

you seem confused? it not worth it to help other car guys out? i guess my question to you is why are you here then? think about that question, then maybe you can understand the new changes. we are working to get this tech site back to just that. all the people that lost a lot of post are the people who don't help and just come on here to bullshit. (mostly). there are plenty other site to bs including this one but you just won't get credit for it here now. no big deal.
