Thread: Can cars hate?

So... yesterday morning I get he Corvette out of the building and bring it home for a quick detail in preparation for the cruise in. I run it to work since I have an office day and around 12:30 decide to take a trip to Tractor Supply to pick up some hardware for the Camaro project. I get out to the parking lot and when I unlock the door the latch hangs up after opening it. This has happened a couple of times before and I have always been able to get it to free up by working the door handle and lock. Not this time though. It seems that something gets out of sequence as all the parts move freely and it is not rusted or damaged.
I ended up driving the car home with my arm hanging our the door to keep it shut. At home in the garage I do not fare any better and having to get back to work I have to walk up to the building to fetch another car. I come home early, remove the door panel and after looking everything over good find that by pressing down on a portion of the latch mechanism I can free the latch tumbler. I also find a small spring on the inside door handle that is just laying in the housing. I take a guess, hook it up to where I think it should go and everything now seems to work fine.
Man this car hates me!

Cars may not hate but they are jealous vindictive b/7@3$. I was invited by GM to go to a manufacturers show day for thier cars, and I drove my '89 T/A there. I swear to God the car smelled the oil from the 4th gen T/A that I got to beat up on the track, because my T/A started running like crap once we left the track. I pulled over to find out what happened, and found that the #2 spark plug wire came off of the plug. I didnt touch those wires in almost 6 months, and it happened just there!

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
I dunno about that. Back in the day (70's-90's) I had a 67 Barracuda Formula S and a 69 and 66 Charger, all with 383/727 combos.
I will admit to the Barracuda being a bitch to drive but that's because that big ass engine in that tiny engine compartment didn't allow for power steering or power brakes.
The one I really miss is the 66 Charger with it's fastback roof line and 4 bucket seat interior.
