Whats the difference between c5 and c6's? isnt there like a hundred horses dif? or is that just an option?

C5 is the older gen vett... 98 till um 04 (I think...) and had an LS1 with like 335 to 350hp... the C6 is the new one and has an LS2 6.0L... with 400HP... it's faster and more efficient in some ways...

Yea i now its the gen differences but i was thinkin the c5 had like 400-405 and i thought i saw somwhere that c6 had 500

that's the Z06 package... for the C5's it had a LS6 with 405HP... and the C6 Z06 has a LS7... with 500hp... enough grunt to kill any Viper, Gallardo, Ford GT or any of those cars

finaly i did it raced this cobra fagstang. i always meet up with him when i get off work guess he lives around the area. got him to of the start and at least 2 1/2 cars.hering u guys say ur kill story i wanted to do it my self.and am all stock. have a ? to want to add 470hp what do i need.

I've beat in the last 2 years:

06 gto - fully bolt ons + tuned
99 t/a - full exhaust + heads + cam + tuned
01 t/a - 150 wet shot, and catback + tuned
c5 - mostly cam + exhaust + tuned
c5 z05 - full exhaust + tuned
04 cobra SVT - catback + pulley + tuned
c6 - full exhaust + cam + tuned
c6 z06 - LT H + Y + tuned
'95 Supra TT 18psi - turbo + intercooler + tuned

these are the most memorable kills. I'm not gonna mention the Mustang 5.0 full bolt ons, CRX vtech engined, S2000 on bottle, 350Z bolt ons and other small fish that got spanked really badly.
the closest race was the c6z06, from 40-110 by a 1-3/4 cars. also want to get my friends Supra tt '94 with 410rwhp in the game but he's dodging me for 4 months now, excuses, he's busy, he needs to fix up some suspension on Supra, all talk but no action. I beat a Supra just like his at the 1/8th track, he was on 18psi... I beat it by .4 or .5sec...

yeah...I got a friend with one of them Supra TT's... his is almost stock...as am I... and he's been dodging me ever since I got my intake...

the funny thing on high boost he's at 410rwhp so he was spanking me left and right when I had the ls1 motor and full exhaust @360rwhp. now that I can easily squash him, he's dodging me for the last 4 months, then he tells me last weekend he wants to put in a single turbo @ 30psi to get 650rwhp or close. so I'm like ahhh ok so you wanna make sure you can really beat me, he said oh well if I put race gas in now it would be close, I said well at 440rwhp it would be closer but I'd still blow his doors in... he didn't say anythin, so he's afraid to race... I'm making 50rwhp over that with him on race gas.

i would keep it that way. im not going to use any power adders. no point when you can get 400-500 easily enough with the present set up. i will probably go bigger cubes when i get this ragged out ls1 for cheap. just gonna build her up gradually and drop her in something....

be ready to spend money for suspension, tranny, rearend, tq arms and panhard as well... all the supporting mods have to be there once you get close to 500rwhp.

and that's another $6k...
