went to autozone yesterday, had a guy watch me as i pulled in to the lot, asked what was up with my exhaust, so i had to show off the cutouts, come to find out, hes got a built fox body with a 125 shot.... pretty cool guy

I get the occasional comment from like minded people (ie modified car owners) but that doesn't really count. One that I did appreciate was when I took my car over to this garage for a registration check. Old guy that owned the shop did the check over. He usually works on old Mustangs and other old Fords. He stepped out of my car after driving it around the block to do the brake test and said "Mate this is a really nice car, I like it" Signed it off 100%

I got one today. I was driving down Thames Street (main tourist drag) and I was basically just idling down the street as there was a tourist in front of me going 10mph. I notice a group of what looked like 2 or three couples walking, maybe early 20's, and one of the girls looks over, smiles and waves, and yells "Nice car!" That made me smile...she was feakin' CUTE.

Last week at Autozone one of the guys there was just starting his smoke break when I pulled up, and before I could even shut the door he came over and started asking me about it. We talked for about ten minutes or so, cool guy, turns out he's putting a LS1 in a first gen RX7.

I also notice I get alot of looks from kids.

Yesterday, I had a MILF at the gas station say "nice car." I thought about saying "Wanna ride?" but I just said thanks. Then she mumbled something like "And I drive a minivan, somethings wrong with this." as she was getting back into her van to leave.

LOL. Yeah, a friend of mine is a policeman in my area. He's got a black 02 SS and we talk about his and mine from time to time when I see him.

I keep telling him I want to race the police Charger they have and he just grins like he wants to if we could get away with it.

He keeps everyone off my ass around my area. As long as I'm within the law on my vehicle, they don't mess with me. I just make sure I'm clear on their whereabouts when I want to act up.......lol.

Yeah, my kids have no problem announcing that their Dad drives a Trans Am and my oldest daughter asks to be driven to school for functions.
