Zach, I think in good air that your old car MIGHT get in to the high 13s. Dave was in the 2.2-2.3 range for his 60' that was killing him. If he learns to feather it off the line and gets some good cold air I am betting he gets close.

I'm sure that salt block is helping as well as the water hole

I am going to look at the back of my eye lids. I am just drained for some reason.

The heat took the life right out of me yesterday. Things are kind of slow today.

I didn't want to work yesterday. I felt so drained. As soon as I got in my car and the A/C cooled me off, I felt alot better.

Is the other location more visible? Could be why. If there is more thickets and such near the one salt block shown above they could be bedding in or around that particular area.
I stopped hunting a few years back now because I had no time being in grad school and working full time. I plan on going again this year. My dad got us into hunting at a pretty young age. I've personally only killed one buck before, but have snagged several nice does during both shotgun and muzzleloader season.
My father killed an 11 pt buck a few years back during archery. It scored 173-1/8. It made the Boone and Crockett record book and the Pope n Young record book for the 10th (I believe) largest deer ever killed in the state of Indiana with a bow.
Needless to say, it's mounted in the living roomIt has a mane on the back of its neck. The thing really is a once in a lifetime buck. It took him hunting 30 years to find one like that. Oddly enough, it was raining that day and he was by himself. Poor SOB took like a few hrs to drag it out of the woods

slightly more in the open. the area around the 'pond' is quite secluded. the other spot is at the top-most corner of a big field in a small opening where two 4wheeler trails intersect. lots of buck activity there last year, as one had a licking branch and a piss patty 10' from the salt block. having the cameras doesn't seem to bother the wildlife at all. coyotes, bobcats, turkeys, deer, squirrels, rabbits, crows, everything but a damned black bear. they travel through our damn yard but can't make their way 300 yards up the hill to be camera-friendly.

Well it's definitely a cool picture to say the least. A guy I work with has a farm with some woods. He has a few camera's set-up on his property as well. I don't know if he has anything set-up which attracts deer though.
He's gotten some cool pictures of different creatures lurking around before. He hasn't sent me any pics in awhile though. I'll have to see if he has any new ones.
When he first told me about the camera, I was really surprised on how many photos those things can hold with not too large of a memory card.

the picture quality isnt the greatest on this particular camera, however, we've got one that takes some beautiful pictures. I'm not sure why that one isn't set up at the pond though.
