electric or gas? there's always the microwave. I'm not a fan of nuked food and never use one for anything besides reheating stuff. I even reheat pizza in our toaster oven because it doesn't make it mushy like the microwave does. That being said, my wife bought the kids these kid cuisine dinners for emergency dinners if we have left overs and they don't want them or something like that. Anywho, the kid cuisine fried chicken is maybe the best chicken I've ever had.....ever. That's some damn good chicken.

Yep, I won't use the microwave for 'cooking' either. It's there for reheating stuff and popcorn
I did buy a little counter top Convection oven last year. I love that thing. When it's super hot out it really comes in handy. And, since it's just the two of us anymore, works out perfectly.
It's gas, but has electric pilots. The stove top still works fine. But, when I tried to use the broiler last night, it wasn't working. The heating element got hot, but, didn't ignite???
Damn Kenmore. I've used Kenmore appliances all my adult life. 5 years ago I upgraded my kitchen to stainless steel/black appliances. I've had nothing but problems with them all. My old fridge in the garage works like a champ. I only upgraded for looks.
Well, turns out that all the new Kenmore appliances are made in Mexico as opposed to all my other Kenmore appliances that were all made in the USA
Oh, and some of those Lean Cusine dinners are very good. Healthy Choice too. I usually have those for lunches.

welcome to hell... i hate it when essentials break down. we had our dishwasher take a dump on us one day before christmas, and couldn't get a service appointment before three days after the holidays. had the whole family over, of course. i hate hate hate doing dishes!!!
as for microwaves: i heat milk for coffee in it, and when i make stirfry, i sometimes thaw frozen veggies in it, before they go in the wok.

Yeah, yeah, I get it... And, I always eat my veggies
That would be the worst time for a break down Thankfully, I can do without the oven. Just wish I would have started dinner earlier that night. I would have just fired up the coals
I had this neighbor once that cooked everything in the microwave. She had this huge Microwave that had a meat probe thing in it and she would do roasts and chickens and stuff and swear by it. They looked like crap if you ask me. But, to each his own...

i mostly buy canadian beer in florida. i don't really know what german stuff you can buy over there. becks is crap, i never tried st.pauli girl (from bremen, one hour away from here).
if you like wheat beer, franziskaner hefeweizen is good, esp. the dark one.
those are the ones i can think of that are available in fl. but i'll be there in sept./oct., i'll scan the shelves...
