NO he was just hung upside down til he turned red then I dragged him across the carpet and gave him rug burn. Bad part is he enjoyed every second of it and wanted me to do it more

This would be the same kid that was running and diving face first across the carpet thinking he could fly like super man. He did this about 20 times and would have continued if his mom didn't take him home

You have my respect and thanks for that commitment. Being a teacher is a difficult job and very unappreciated. I was a School Resource Officer for a while at a H.S. and a Junior H.S. I know, first-hand, about the problems of teenagers.
Still, these are MY kids. They have TWO parents. They like going to church and being involved in organizations and sports. We are a drug and tobacco FREE home. I only drink one or two beers (max) and only now and then. We are involved with our kid's school work and will continue to be that way. These things make me optimistic that we will have two good kids who will make it through the teenage years with minimal problems. There will be problems - of course - but they have a good foundation to start from. That is the responsibility of my wife and I, and we will NOT fail.
I was not a perfect kid either, but I turned out okay. My dad was a cop too, and I think he is the main reason I didn't stray too far from the straight and narrow. It wasn't fear, I just didn't want to let him down. Hopefully, the same genes will continue in my family's future generations.
Whatever the future holds, I thank God for my two kids.

I don't think I could ever teach highschool. Elementary was enough to nearly scar me for life.

Once again, my son (Ty D Bowl Captain), did stupid stuff like this. Just after he turned two, he was at a friend's house jumping off a couch onto a bean bag. But "Mr. Accuracy" missed, and hit the floor. Result? He broke his right arm in two places. Chris Cagle came out with that song "Chicks Dig It", so it sort of became my son's unofficial theme song:
"When daddy asked me why I did it,
I made him laugh out loud when I told him,
'cause the chicks dig it"
