Whats the standard tuning on the seventh string? Do you use it when making chords?

i have no idea what the correct tuning for that extra string is, haha, i alwasy tune it to either B or A. when its tuned to B you can play regular power chords with it, and if its tuned to A, you can do 'drop d' style power chords.
i usually ignore the strign entirely when playing though. i dont know too many artists that use it, i know korn does.
i saw a few other 7-stringers posted up here. what do you guys do/think?

Post up some chord diagrams if you got em. I wonder what that seventh string adds technicaly. Once upon a time I learned what each note in a chord was( root, 3rd, 5th, 7th etc.) but I forgot all that tech stuff. Only recently started to re-educate myself because Im teaching my son how to play.
Also, did you know that a lot of Kieth Richards stuff was played w/ 5 strings, weird tuning?

Funny how we are talking guitars and music on a car site. Maybe I should find a music forum but those guys probably talk about pizza delivery!!

Cracked me up. How to wipe without getting sh*t smell on your fingers. Is it ok to play with legos? Is it ok to have sex with your half brother? ( I hope that was posted by a girl) Can boobs be too big?
I think I will stick to LS1 and my fishing forums.

thanks! i got the 150 in buffalo, ny in 1993. it sounds pretty unique, really nasal. but it still holds pretty well together and the electric (i think "elecronic" wasn't invented yet) works, pots dont scratch. i just love playing it once in a while and imagining all the places it's seen in all those years!

I don't do much chording with the low B. I use it more for riffing and expanding on scales. If you want to know what the 7th string add technically whatch this.
