I've used a chamois for the longest time, but just started using a waffle weave towel. Works great, less scratches, and holds a ton of water

Do yourself a favor and go with Microfiber-thats what Pro detailers use. All the gimmicks like the absorber and water blades are just that gimmicks.
*** A secret not many people know is after washing your car take the nozzel off of your hose and put the end of the hose a few inches from your car and make long passes. It actually sheets the water off of the car and makes drying easier and way less water spots. Its actually a kind of California blade done with water that wont scratch your car. Try it.

Yeah the absorber seemed like a great idea until I saw what it did to my clearcoat! Swirl city.

White/Black- 1999 Z28
Good god.. I've been using the absorber this whole time.
I never noticed swirls on my white paint.. until the other day. That's probably why I have them.

Over time I have acumlated 3 absorbers, all of them are good used condition, no tears or rips, $15 takes all them including shipping conus, hate to throw them out but I dont use them any more, PM to discuss.
BTW-Speaking of Sonus, I see Sonus, UDM and The Ultimate Shine are all owned by David Byron (sp?) small world, indeed.Last edited by 99'CajunFirehawk157; 01-24-2008 at 07:01 AM.
