Tires are great, always do pressure checks and I keep the suspension in top shape.
I used to run pro stock drag bikes. High speed, but maintained the speed for only about 250 feet.

I cant get mine over 155 not sure if its the limiter or if the car just wont push past it which it what it feels like.. never get the loss of power feeling like i have with other cars in the past with limiters... ofcourse the only time i have ever had enough room to get it up there was a slight incline which maybe why it wouldnt go anymore...

I'm not sure what the exact truth is, but I have read on at least a dozen sites that the top speed for the SS and Z28 is limited to 160 mph, and the top speed for the Trans Am is limited to 167. I also read the verts are limited to 155 mph. Of course there are a variety of other sites reporting different numbers, but these are the numbers I have seen most often.

but why have a car that will run fast and then drive it 60 MPH every where. Just go and get a Isuzu truck if you want to go slow.

I drive the hell out of mine.
But where it is legal. On the street I will get into it pretty good, but I stay at or near legal speeds most of the time.


0-125 in about 11 seconds is much more of a rush than going 150MPH once.

what's a hayabusa ? i seen a pic of it before in the show your birds thread but what are they??

The Hayabusa was the world's fastest motorcycle until the Kawasaki ZX14 came out. The Hayabusa was also the first bike to run a 9 second quarter off the showroom floor. Top speed is electronically limited to 196. Watch the Youtube videos for a good feeling of what they can do. Like most speed freaks I was a bike lover first. I usually have at least one fast bike, and worked as a bike mechanic for my first real job.

i have never notice of mine being governed...

have done 157 taching 5900...it is slowly still pully
im 02t/a ls1 auto...
but that is in third gear...the overdrive never kicks in

...be careful tho..you'll bend a pushrod if you keep it in third for to long up there.
