Still need to get the cathodes though!

What color cathodes have you guys used... i was tempted to get the blue ones but i endend up getting 2 sets of 2 a total of 4 white! Should be pretty bright

I used white on my setup. here is a pic of 8 tubes.

And would these resist water? The plate tends to be kinda low don't wanna screw them up... any suggestions?

i used white, then I put some photographers' gels infront of them to yellow them down to the same tint as my fogs-i hated having a multicolored light show on the front of the car

Yeah i hate it when there's all sorts of different colored lights in front. Looks better when they're all uniform and the same color!

Finally got 2 sets of 2 cathodes today... Gonna shoot for Saturday to get these wired up and have the plate light up! Hopefully all 4 bars fit, I got a feeling I'm gonna have a hard time with the wiring! Kinda wanted to have them wired up to a toggle switch but guess we'll see!

will this work if I put a silver decal over the bird and leave the height of the letters unpainted so that it will glow nice?

woooooooow.. that's very nice. too bad i live in virginia where pretty much everything is illegal and i couldn't do that to the CAMARO logo on mine..... i'd like to take the front plate off of mine so i could do something like that or even get a nice shiny grill........ but can't do that in virginia lol

^ yeah VA sucks. Cops aren't out to uphold the law anymore, they're roving tax collectors. easiest way to collects make everything illegal. you hear bout the 1,000 dollar a year for 3 year fines? they're out for blood

Great! It has only gotten a few chips even though it is a weekend car.

It would be A LOT easier if you just bought candy paint of the color of your car and bought some regular paint.

Put the bird decal on after scuffing the clear plate... paint with regular gm paint.. then peel the decal and paint with clear. It will be invisible in the day and badass at night.
