Sorry, but sending eurpeans to africa vs. sending human beings to the moon seems to be quite a difference...... atleast on earth the oceans currents will take you somewhere where land is present....
fuckup a moon launch and you could find yourself lost in space forever if things go wrong.....
50yrs preperation or what not seems to be an acceptable preperation time to me.....lets see if you can come up with something else though, k?

I wonder where the space shuttle goes when they take off? I bet to the other side of the earth where they park it in a garage for about two-three weeks until everyone believes they are doing scientific work at the International space station.

seriously though. im not sure if we went to the moon or not but just saying we didnt, what do they do with the shuttle?

We were just getting over the idea that the world was not flat at the time when we were doing that type of "exploration" or going back to return to pick up slaves or whatever reason they kept going back for.
Yeah, fuck up a moon launch and you'd be lost in space for good, but I think that technology is just a little bit further advanced than counting on a drift and the location of a star in the sky and a little wind current to get you somewhere... We got a non manned explorer to reach mars and that's a whole helluva lot further away than the moon.

this is one of the most... i'm not even going to say...
ok... have we landed on the moon... yes... why have we not gone back... because it would be pointless... the soil under the frost and stones is orange... we gathered all the information we need about the moon... most people here haven't even seen 1/10th of the footage we shot when whe landed on the moon...
i think i just grew an extra chromosome... (aka down syndrome) from just reading some of these posts...

if you understand general rules of physics, the evidence proposed in the posted documentries would make you think otherwise, try to be openminded and look at the facts

there is an explanation for how an atom bomb can split atoms etc...
i have yet to read the paper which explains how a flag can wave in a vaccum/space

the flag didnt wave.
the flag had a mesh skeleton built into it...if it didnt have this, the photo op would have been pointless as the flag would lay limp on the pole like they do on earth when no wind is blowing them. so a skeleton was created to give the flag body.
the only time the flag appeared to move on its own, was during takeoff of the lunar lander and the exhaust from the jet engines moved the flag.
any other exciting (jk) conspiracy theorys you'd like me to debunk?

We've also lost an unmanned rover headed for mars....we've lost satelites, hubble has had a few close calls.....these unmanned misisons to mars take YEARS and YEARS of trajectory planning.....look up into the sky one night, point out a planet, then try to figure out how your going to get an unmanned rover to that planet, without missing it, becuase you got only ONE shot at it.
its a lil more complicated then putzing around in open space shooting off your rocket boosters and hoping for the best....they shoot for accuracy and nail it almost everytime......
i'd rather they take chances with unmanned rovers, then a full crew of men and woman aboard......
again...why dont we go to the moon? again...we are going...in 5yrs. why did it take so long? we had other things betrter to do....nasa doesnt take citizen votes on what to do next...they'll do whatever they wanna do. obviously for 50yrs theyve felt a non-need to go bacxk to the moon until recently....

why would we... like i said... we gathered all the information that we wanted to konw...
the soil under the ice and rocks is orange, thoery now that the moon was once part of earth that was formed when another plantet/meteor collied with earth...
there is no life, blah blah blah...
but then again... lets waste billions of $ to learn...NOTHING...

the purpose of the mission is to setup a station on the moon....the international space station was a test to see how hard it is to sustain life for long periods of time in zero gravity/space.
itwill also be a joint venture between america, the russians, and a few other countrys.
it will also serve as a way to launch long distance missions to other planets....it takes ALOT less fuel to launch from the moon then it does earth....of course that fuel will need to be launched from earth to the moon, but thats just the way it goes....

In 9th grade we watched a video about the moon controversy. I thought it was interesting, though even if we did land, it would be pointless to go back. The moon is a dead satellite.
