Help me decide which if these 2 Trans Am
sorry I had to pause.
when you rev to move it should be around 1500-1900 rpms for easy movement, of course as you ease off the clutch. drop the clutch at low rpm you stall or it will want to buck.
You may have the low rpm lock out. meaning if you're in 1st and below 2400 rpm and you go to shift it will go to 4th instead of 2nd.http://www.ls1.com/forums/f7/my-6-liter-build-174257/

Bad news. The guy ended up selling the car before I was able to get there, couldn't believe it. Had a certified check, insurance and everything lined up. I was supposed to go there on Wed, but because it's 200 miles away I decided to take a train and drive the car back. I ended up missing my train and they only run every 4 hours, so it would have been too late to go to bank and DMV. I let him know and all seems cool, just need to arrange another day to go there. Before I could confirm the day (was going to try for mon/tues next week), the guy texts me the next day to say he sold the car the same day (wed). He said he thought I lost interest because I didn't show up on Wed, but I had a valid reason.
I know I should have given him a deposit, and maybe just drove there and had the car shipped back. But he never at any point told me that there was another interested buyer(s).
Anyway, I wasn't too emotionally attached to this or any vehicle. The saga continues with more searching....

Thanks buddy. Yeah I was angry but I didn't want to stress myself out and get into yelling with the guy. But certainly I can see other people getting pretty upset about this. I know he wants to sell the car asap, but still you have to follow a little etiquette. At least he could have told me the night before that he has another buyer. I would have probably drive there the next day.
I have a feeling someone offered him a little more and he took it. When I talked him down he didn't sound all that excited, but that was the deal we agreed on.

The only LS1 yr I would be weary about are the 97 (Vettes only)-98's. Their oil pump was weak and the more miles on it the easier it is to fail. It's what killed my LS1. Blew that bitch like a firecracker internally :lol
99's have the weakest fuel injectors, 99-00 have chicken pox issues. The 02's would be about the best yr to shoot for IMHO. But keep in mind each yr has their own "little issues".
