Long week. The gf is being tested for Lupus, Rheumatoid arthritis and handful of other things to see what's going on with her. Seems like life was looking good and this came out of left field. They have her on prednisone but it's making her sick on top of the other issues. Nothing life threatening as of now but she could be looking at battling a life long disease.

Sorry to hear that, Chase. I know how Prednisone and IV Solu-Medrol can make you feel like crap on top of the symptoms it's supposed to help with. I hope it doesn't turn out to be anything that serious and that it's something manageable.

Thanks Dena her rheumatologist is pretty sure it's rheumatoid arthritis. Luckily she went in when she was having a flare up. Crap is hard to diagnose from what we were told. Her blood results came back yesterday but all the nurse would tell us is that something did show up so we have to wait till the 27th to talk to the doctor. Gf just went why even call now I'm going worry more then I already am. I told her if it was anything significant they would have called you in already. Also next week she can cut the prednisone down to one pill a day. My aunt had rheumatoid and her daughter has lupus. So I'm decently familiar with what she's in for if it is.

Yesterday - 83 degrees, sunny and beautiful at the Beaver house. Today - 46 degrees, cloudy and misting. Mother Nature must be having some serious mood swings.

*** The April thank goodness it's finally Spring TRAIN ***
Read yesterday the sun hasn't had any sunspots in over the last 30 days. Theory is that it's going in to an ultra quiet period cycle like a few 100 yrs ago. If true it's going to be getting fairly cooler for long periods of time.

Picked up a filter and gasket to change the trans fluid in the Challenger. Need to figure out how much fluid to buy and a torque spec for the pan. This is the only vehicle we own that I have absolutely zero service information on.

It snowed quite a bit here yesterday. Finally warmed up a bit this afternoon but still not quite what I would call spring weather.

Had one of those life memory moments this evening. Pickle had a soccer game. He's never going to be a soccer star. He actually has some physical ability and could be pretty good at any sport. He could care less about winning though. He just has fun running around and playing with the other kids. Nothing wrong with that. His competitive spirit may come later...or it won't...we don't really care as long as he's enjoying himself.
He's 5 now and started when he was 3.5. Tonight he finally kicked his first goal. After he scored his goal every kid on the team was high fiving him and clapping like they scored. They go back to the middle of the field to get ready for the kickoff and he comes running off the field to give me a hug and ask if I saw his goal. It's moments like those that I'll remember the rest of my life. Just a great life memory and what makes being a dad so special.
