Didn't think about not being able to use the C5 kit with track wheels. Good catch, Scott. That is definitely a hindrance. Looks like R1 Concepts is going to be even more appealing to me now.

As far as decals go, I have some from a fellow member here that say "Camaro".

I've seen them Jeff. My only issue with a C5 or CTV conversion is getting wheels for the track.

I'd hate to have to spend $1500 on just 2 custom wheels in order to be able to run DR's. I also don't like that I have to grind off the OEM calibers to fit Pro Stars.

To me it weakens the caliber. Fine for track use only but my car is both strip/street. I've seen drag calibers but they are not rated for hwy use.

How is getting wheels the issue? There are plenty of 17 and 18" wheels you can use for the track. If you plan on running wheels smaller than that for the track then it would be an issue. But then I will be doing more auto x than drag, which is why I chose the cts-v set up.

I plan on running track dedicated wheels at some point in the future. Most likely that will mean a 15" wheel.

I'm not an expert builder but I've been reading a lot for future projects and this issue is one of em' that I keep looking for a solid solution.

Good choice. Don't forget to post some pics of the install. Also, make sure to clean and lube your caliper pins while you have everything apart.
