101", could have went to 110" but I thought it looked better with a gap of color inbetween my border and speakers.
I guess I don't have a budget. I just think I am going to go with the Bostons I linked before and a refurbished Denon. I would like to hear some warmer speakers. I've heard the Boston's have that warm feeling. I could get the pair for 200 shipped, and the Denon for 109. I doubt anything can beat this without spending another $200 bucks.
I would have liked to hear the Monitor 50s or 60s cuz I almost bought them last night, and I'd like to hear the Bic DV64s as well, but no one around here has anything like that...that I know of. Just ain't sure, and would like something now.

This thread is giving me some ideas for my basement I'm getting ready to re-finish. I want to turn it into a complete man cave. After October I pretty much won't have a budget (within reason) so the idea of a nice theater set-up sounds like a good idea on top of the other ideas I have been thinking of.

Well my upstairs is already complete. Just need to do the basement. By the time I finish, I'll probably be ready to move

I upgraded the tv in the living room to a Samsung 60" LED 3D SmartTV and now I need to upgrade that stand it's sitting on. I moved the Samsung 40" LCD to the bedroom.

I am considering a man cave on my 3rd floor (3 story victorian).
It was poorly finished by the previous owners so we've been using it as an attic.
I have a massive 3 window dormer up there that you can see the whole lower half of town from.
The space is completely open in the 24x34' range. I think it would make an awesome cave.
The house is 100 years old and that floor is the only floor, (aside from a rewire) that we did'nt gut when we baught the house.
Our basement is just too short and I have to keep my head down to keep from bumping it on the beams so that space is out for finishing.
I did however finish a room down there with it's own climate control for when I mess with building curcuit boards an such but again it's too low to be a amn cave for entertainment.
The dormer on the 3rd floor is over 60 feet from street level, imho would make a great place to retreat to and chill/relax.
I'd also gain back the spare bedroom on my 2nd floor in the event we try for another kid..Last edited by Smittro; 09-15-2012 at 11:03 AM.

Yeah housing market here is shit so we're not going to sell @ this point for now.
Still looking for what would be a 3rd place though, or possibly building on one of the 2 properties we have between us.
Hopefully when/if the market comes back we can off load the city property.
If we build my next shop with be a 2 story with a man cave over it..

**Update**
I decided against putting it on the wall since I probably won't be in this house for much longer, but here it is with a much needed upgrade for a TV stand.

Here's some taken with my Canon (blurry because I forgot and left the tripod at the office), but you get the idea. And the candles were a gift from my mom for Christmas and the GF (also chose the TV stand) set them out how she wanted them to be.

Looks good/clean. TV stand fits well. I'll have to post up my upstairs setup.
Jon, did you end up doing anything to your basement?Last edited by allbaugh_04; 04-04-2013 at 10:28 AM.

Thanks. The pictures don't do it justice. It's a pretty nice piece for only around $500. It measures 65" wide (the TV's a 60"), 37" high and 18" deep. I'll try and take some better pics with the tripod.
