Man: The Mods you are fighting,
they are the biggest Men I have ever seen. I
wouldn't want to fight them!
Me: That is why no one will remember your name!

it depends what you consider a "bolt on".
stang guys are usually different. they'll change suspensions, un hook power steering and a\c, take out all the seats. change clutches, gears, EVERYTHING but take off a valve cover, and consider it a "bolt on" car.
if you consider it that way, "bolt on" ls1's have ran 10's.
most consider bolt ons as headers, tuner, gears, UD pullies, tires.

Thread is kind of getting off topic but heres my reply anyway I dont think the argument was really what a bolt on car "is" i think we can all agree its anything that doesnt dive into the internals of the engine. stall is kind of a gray area but anyway those mustangs did not have u/d pulleys or a/c removal or anything you mentioned that isnt a normal bolt on those cars were taken off the lot given an exhaust, tune, CAI and some tires and kicked off an 11 sec pass at 115-118 THERE IS NO LS1 that will do that with those mods unless its in a miata. When you look at dynos its not all that hard to believe stock autos dyno around 345 and m6's around 360 add bolt ons and they are between 390-420 at the wheels in a 36xx lb car its pretty clear lol. If I had to give a good comparison stock for stock i think stock for stock the fbody would have to have an ls6 in it to duplicate those results.

My point was that it takes a cam in an LS1 to see those results,,,,that is unless you gut the car,,,but then we really aren't talking street car at that point. Not knocking your car at all,,,,it's a great example of what you'll find done to LS1 4th gens running those times.
That's why this discussion turned to the new 5.0's and how they are running similar times and similar MPH, but they aren't getting inside the motor. That's how impressive the new platform is. I'm just giving credit where credit is due. They aren't slouches anymore.

you guys have too remember, the mustang isn't an all new car. it's an old car with a new engine and trans. there are piles of proven parts that have been out there for years that will get that chassis to cut a great 60'. so getting these things to run good times with the new big bump in hp isn't rocket science.

yep! thats why i posted my sig lol. I think he could of beat me if he launched it harder. BTW my tranny mount was broke on all those runs, so i was shifting like a grandma and coming out of the hole slower than id like. My 4th run completed the breakage lol and i was done for the night. My car only dynoed 384rwhp also...
