Well when it comes to LT1 vs LS1 there is only one clear choice, LS1. As far as the tranny goes, you must consider several factors such as how you drive, where you drive and the traffic you drive in. I have a M6 and I love it. It gives me more control over the car and is just more fun to drive than an A4. However, the con is if you drive in traffic you will be shifting a lot and I hate that especially if your stuck in rush hour traffic where it is stop n go. I wanted t-tops, i think they are a nice feature of the car but I ended up buying a hardtop. That again is a personal preferance, t-tops are nice but after a while they will give you problems such as leaks, rattle and etc. I dont like the verts period because they destroy the shape of the vehicle imo.

Subframe connectors and 50 dollars worth of weather striping materials every 3-4 years is all that is needed to take care of most of the rattles and all of the leaking.

I must be blessed, my Z is an 01 with 93,000 miles, and not a single rattle or leak from the t-tops. except for when i forgot to latch the drivers side and washed her and to add to that the original owner swears he never had them resealed
