Yup when osha comes by they will ask you if the shop is supplying you with gloves. If they are asking you to touch hazardous shit, they gotta give them to you.

The MSDS book must be made available to you as you touch chemicals all day and have the right to know what they are and what they can do to you. You must have at least 1 working fire extinguisher readily accessable in the shop.
    No eye wash station
    No guards on bench grinder
    No MSDS book in shop

    There are numerous extinguishers though.

So when on the grinder you're all free hand, nothing to support what you're grinding? That sounds super shitty

yup, almost got hurt a couple times because of that. now I simply don't use it. I use a regular old fasioned wire brush or my 4.5" grinder which has a sheild and a handel.

I am curious to know what would happen if they decided to take soil samples around the building. Who knows what the have done before Cammed and I got there.

wired up to code isn't the words for it,there is that PLUS

1 boss didn't get a liceanse to have it installed in the first place

2 boss didn't have it inspected

3 don't think the guy that installed it is licensed

4 not so sure anything done to it is correct such as

a the air supply is from a air hose
b no vent tubes in the tank like there is supposed to be
c the wall where the exaust pipe goes through I think is suppose to have some sort of sleeve

Face it I can totally screw him over and he will be going around stareing at his empty wallet singin FML OH FML I WISH I WAS DEAD FML

Nothing happened today, all was calm until later the boss was off today. Usually he comes in the morning and stays until noon or so,today though he just came in briefly with a neighbors vette to have the tire pressures checked.

him: can you add more air to the tires it is showing the 2 rear tires are at 35 psi

me: and you want to add air? (I was calm mind you)
him: yea, don't that mean the pressure is low?
me: no it just is there to show what the current pressures are at.
we walked out to the car and I showed him how to opperate it to get it of the tire pressures and onto something else. and showed him where the light was that he ...or the actual owner should worry about if it came on.

me: now drop them to 30 psi
    him: isn't that too low?
me no because thats what this car calls for, they are runflat tires which means they are stiff, and the car is light.
him: (looks at the door jamb because it don't believe me) oh ok it does say 30
me: yup see I know what i am talking about

all of that was with huge calmness which is surprising concedering the day I had . 1 guy called in sick,1 went home at 1,another left at 4 and the last that wasn't me left at 4:30 I started freaking out very early in the day because i had several huge stacks of tires in my area and very little room. With several tire jobs on my board. The bosses brother came back and we had a little chat where I laid it all on the line how I panic over stupid stuff like that sometimes, that I have adhd that I am not using it as an excuse but letting him know so he will understand why i do things the way I do, work slower at times ect. he asked why I wasn't on meds and i told him the reason . It was a very productive long chat, all while he was helping me out. he even came out later after we was done with the waiters and helped me get the scrap tires out. I really wish he would take over the buisness it would be a much better place and I wouldn't mind so much.I am also sure Cammed would have stayed if that was the case.

Who were the people who left early? This is odd. I have never seen that many people leave early. Who called in sick?

Donnie called in, he looked horrible yesterday and was coughing alot, oy vey left at one for whatever reason, the new guy leaves at 4 everyday because of his second job and of course "bucky" left at 4:30. It was a bit chaotic and I started getting aggrivated when the owners cousine came in with the garbage filled stinking jeep needing a headlight. I had a car on the lift already gettin ready to drop it and put the spare in. the damn headligh assy,. ,didn't want to pop out so I could do the bulb. Finally got that out and then we had the right bulb number but wrong type. it takes a 9006 xs not a reg 9006. so I had to walk down the road and grab one. get it together, run back to the other car finish it off the LOCK DOWN I AM DONE

I still worry about Donnie. I will never forgive the boss for telling him to "step it up" after Donnie was out recovering from a heart attack.

OOOO mike jr asked jerry when he was setting the christmas party when jerry went to drop the checks off at 23. Jerry said "I'm not, after your uncle stabbed me in the back 3 times I won't go, he can go f**k himself". You know that will get back ,Jerry might be fired then I will be expected to do deliveries and such as well. which is where I will draw the line. Lately jerry has stayed on the road almost all day makeing pick ups and deliveries to and from 23 preakness and OCTA. not to mention picking up tires from the various warehouses to take to them places. My boss has went insane......from greed

Cuervo has thought about it as well as another guy who works there. Donnie used to commute from his home in NE Pa to NJ EVERY DAY. Now, as a result of his recent heart attack/doctor's orders, he can only work 5 days a week. Boss isn't happy about it, but Donnie's health is more important IMO. He has to be around for his family(wife, 2 sons).

    who Cammed or Myself?

I have thought and daydreamed about screwing the boss so bad I get the buisness and everything he owns lol. other than that no,don't like the stress involved. I would likely sell off everything after a couple years maybe less.split the money equally with the employees i have left so they can semi retire. We have all suffered from working for this asshat.

My folks tell me I gave him what he wanted and he basically forced me out. Oh well. As long as I don't have to look the troll in the face I am happy.

I hate the feeling of being stuck in a job I hate. I havent had that feeling for years, but I remember it well. I think, if I was in your spot, Id be happier living in the corner of a little garage in squalor doing the same stuff im doing anyway, but no commute, no boss, close to my family, etc.
