Call me "preacher" if you may, but what I have learned is that the golden rule works! On a Biblical note, Ephesians 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her; 26 that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she should be holy and blameless.

I have broken up relationships countless times but it was always a "it's not working for us" issue. It was almost always peaceable and we left as friends and no hard feelings. I even had a girlfriend cheat on me once because she didn't have the courage to do the right thing and tell me she wanted out and that was her way of conducting business. I forgave her much later and remember the great times we had together.

Chew on this, did you know that research shows that 7 out of 10 women that consider themselves "lesbians" have been raped or sexually abused as a child by a man?
We have a choice to be bitter or to ask GOD what was the "big plan" you had for me going through that? Get help, seek counseling if needed, I have (Christian led counseling was important for me). Don't be mad at the world. I listened once to talk radio show that had a panel of counselors and one of them said "there hasn't been a time where each of each on this panel has needed and has sought counseling." The Bible says seek wise counsel in everything you do. That means in finances, dating, health, etc... But that also means seek the right counsel. Example: don't ask a buddy how you should approach a lady who isn't concerned for a long joyful relationship but only a one night stand.

In the Bible, Jacob was the youngest and most favored of all the sons of their dad. The brothers of Jacob secretly sold him into slavery and told the father that wolves had killed him. Jacob rose to power in Egypt as 2nd in command and during a time of famine his brothers came to town to seek rations. Jacob recognized them but they did not since he was so young went sold into slavery. Cut to the chase... later Jacob told him who who he was and all the brothers were in fear of revenge. Jacob said what you meant for evil, God meant for better.
So, I could tell you many things that happened to me and I'm sure I've got you beat in things that I went through... But I look forward to what GOD has planned for the way he has shaped my mind. I am so compassionate about many many things simply because I have been there and can related, so how can I judge?
Anyways, off my soap box!
I love you kids!
