so on a 98 f-body your best possible mileage will be 279miles just city driving. and 403 miles just highway. most f-bodies average 21 miles a gallon a tank so. 325.5 miles a gallon is around what you should be getting for mixed driving. 99+ get 302 miles just city. 436.8miles just highway. and 352miles mixed..now these are best case scenarios so if your around this kind of milage then you are just fine.

there you guys have it hopefully this answers any questions.
Is this driving the car with the skip shift? Wasent that skip shift designed to give you better gas mileage? Im not using the skip shift and that may be why im not getting the better gas mileage?

The fuel being pumped through the pump cools it. What about external fuel pumps? How are they cooled? I think that the manufacturers design fuel guages to operate this way to keep people from running out of gas.

I was going over my car today and I discovered a hole in one of my vacume hoses going into the intake. I replaced it and the idle on the car dropped and the car ran smoother. I decided to drive it around on the last 1/4 of a tank and I could alredy tell that I was getting better mileage then before. I dont know how I missed it all this time. Im going to advise my friends to go over there cars for any vacume leaks that they might have.

The car always made a sound like there was a vacume leak but it was not that loud and almost hard to notice but me and my dad just started hunting around the engine bay and we located it. Once we replaced the hose it was a noticable difference in the idle and sound of the motor. Took the car down the road and punched it and I could smell the raw fule being burned and coming out the exhaust. Dorve the car to work today and its running like a champion now!
