Why dont you just get heads/cam/headers/supercharger/and some NOS... It would be funny to watch you drive it into a pole the first time out

Pewter- 1999 Trans Am 5.7L
I have been looking into the LM series as well. I have a magnaflow, but it doesnt do it for me. Doesnt seem that it wants to flow well enough. SLP looks like it has a great flow design. Not too terribly much at about $400 a pop on ebay.

White- 1998 Trans Am
The LM with the stock headers and catted y are not bad. Yes they are loud but not that raspy. Im 20 and I had that setup till I droped in my 383 stroker and went pacesetter LT's and ORY. You talk about loud, ya its loud and I love it. As far as drone goes inside the car, when I had just the LM on the car it wasnt that bad, but put headers and ory on and my gosh! Going 80 in 6th gear rolling at 2,000 is not fun..Very loud and cant talk to the person sitting beside you. I will get some sound clips up sometime soon.

Red- 02 Trans-Am
Here is a good list of parts and prices you can start with. You may find them cheaper somewhere, but LS1Speed.com price matches. Anyone please chime in if you think otherwise.
1. Whisper Lid w/ Sure Fit Seal & Breather = $120.99 Only reason I didn't go with SLP is that they are back ordered and you will wait 2+ months for your lid. SLP fits better from what I have heard, but i am not waiting 2 months for a damn lid.
2. K&N Filter = $44.99
3. Pace Setter Longtube Headers - Coated = $374.99
4. Seal-4-Good LS1 MLS Header Gaskets = $36.99 I have been told you can use the stock gasket, but why take chances replace it with a better one.
5. ARP Header Stud Kit, LS1,LS6, 5.7L & 6.0L = $94.49 I tried to use the stock bolts but had issues with them and purchased these and they worked great.
6. LS1 EGR/AIR Block-off Set = $14.00 I know your car doesn't have EGR but the headers will have the setup for it and you have to block it off.
7. 24" O2 Extention F-Body OBDII (each) = $17.99 you need 2. You can get away with using the 12" ones but mine tried to melt themselves to my headers so go with the longer ones so you don't have same problem.
8. Spiro-Pro 8mm Spark Plug Wire Set LS1 Blue/Black/Red = $47.99
9. NGK TR-55 Set of 8 Spark Plugs = $15.99
10. Texas Speed Rumbler X True Duals = $459.99 I have these installed on my car. I have no clearance problems and I only hit on stuff I would have hit with stock exhaust. They are realy deep sounding and they let people know when your passing.
Well this is what i have installed on my Trans Am. All you would need after this is a good tune to delete the rear O2, Air pump and to get your A/f and timing right and you should be good for a bit. Removal of non-sponsor linksLast edited by Y2KPewterSS; 04-19-2007 at 09:48 AM.
