the 12.62 run factory 275 40 17's front and rear and on the 12.18 run factory 275 40 17 on the front and bfg 275 40 17 drag radials on the rear.

you went a 12.6 with free mods on street tires?

yes with both my 98 z28 m6 and my 02 ss m6 at 3 different tracks in maryland ,capital raceway,cecil county and buds creek ( mir ).
So i think that a properly driven 98-00 or 01-02 m6 car are about even.

I agree with just freemods my '02 ss m6 has been a best of 12.62 @112 at tracks in maryland ! Now with my own preditor tune long tubes and exhaust a best of 12.18 @115 ! Still with stock heads ,cam ,intake ,throttle body and
3.42 gears

I hear alot of people say this. Still im not sure. Every ls1 I have seen dynoed right around 300rwh reguardless of year or model. 01-02 have a better intake but they also have a smaller cam. Guess it doesnt even matter since no one really has a stock ls1 anymore lol.

I have personally seen an 01 WS6 M6 with 500 miles put down 325 rwhp and an 02 WS6 A4 with a lid, catback and cutout make 331rwhp and 321 rwhp with the cutout closed. My 98 with her same mods made 21rwhp less with a closed cutout. Just food for thought.

Yeah I saw a 99 make 321 in an article and an 02 make 316. haha prob just issues with the dyno itself.

^this and the fact that there might be a select few that run really quick and dyno high..but it is far from the norm.
