i would say around 16hrs in all to date. i had to cut down the supports, then make flush with the underneath side. thats what took the most time since i did it by hand and not with a dremel, etc.
after that, it was quick business in patching the holes, fiberglassing and filling them. i still need to do a few more coats of priming and sanding before its ready to paint.

here are the pics for my iphone. we had time to do the hood as well. its an OEM hood from a '97 Ws6. you can see the previous condition of the hood in the pics on the 1st page. what you cant see is that there were a couple of chunks around the drivers side headlight that we had to patch. all and all, i think everything came out looking great.

Update bump:
'95 TA sold back in March.
However, last week I picked up a '98 TA Ws6 dirt cheap. here's hoping that I can now see this spoiler through with this car. Here's a pic of the new car:
