Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
Tune isn't needed....but the tuning software needs to be hooked up to change them.
Someone local with unlimited HPTuners credits can do it for a beer.

There are a few cheap eBay China headers, the only bad things I've heard about them are a few problems with the welds on them. And possibly they don't make as much power as some other normally priced headers (which might be true but I doubt its anything to worry about). In a couple of years we will know for sure if they are any good.

Also what's a good y pipe to get for LT headers? ?? Someone on here was saying borla doesn't sound good with lts and an off road y pipe?? I have adj 3" borla and I think it sounds great I don't see how headers and a y could ruin that

That someone is me...and sjsingle1. I have the Borla 3" adj, Kooks 1 7/8" LTs, and ORY. Its sounds great most of the time, except 2500 to 3000rpm, raspy.
EVERY LT and ORY combo out there, will create some or alot of rasp. Some catbacks make that rasp louder or can mostly eliminate it. A catted Y-pipe will kill most or all rasp and is a good option to consider when it time to buy.

I think I'm gonna try adding a bullet muffler in the I-pipe of my catback to see if I can cure my raspy blues

I'm considering that also, but I can't quite justify the $700+ price tag for the quad tip magnaflow...yet.

Just so we are on the same page...what do you mean by raspy sound?
Like the sound that red-neck trucks make that have no muffler or pipes on them when they mash the throttle?
