Put a coat of wax on the 5er today. Went a little different direction this time. Last time it got the works....cut, polished, and detailed. Fuck that ......took 20+ hours. Won't be doing that ever again. This time I noticed I had a couple small bottles of mother's carnuba wax that comes with the claybar when I buy it. Decided to use those up since I'll never use them on the car. Took ~9 hours just to throw a quick coat on. Tomorrow I'm going to go over it and caulk all the seams. Should be about ready to travel then.

Well we didn't blow away, but there's still a chance we might float away. Averaged 5-6 inches across the northern part of the state, reservoirs are already near full from previous rains. It'll be interesting to see how they manage all the dams this week.

We've been floating here in PA for the better part of a year now. Pretty sure the last 3 days of (almost) complete sun are about the most we've had in a long time.

Right...it was fucking terrible out there last year. I was on the fence about even going this weekend until I saw the weather. Tired of going out there and being ankle deep in mud the whole time. Looks like just a pop up or two right now while we're there which is pretty normal for where we go. Last year it would be bucket full of rain. It rained so much later in the year the river flooded and washed all our wood downstream.....along with the deck we had it stacked on haha. Couple camps over they lost a pop up

2016 Camaro SS - Summit- 2001 Trans Am WS6 - NBM
They are releasing above 100 year levels for the main river running through Tulsa. Additionally this will cause record flooding down in Muskogee, made worse by it being the place where three rivers meet, all having near record flows running through them. Working at a civil engineering firm with projects all along the river in Tulsa, our phones have been ringing off the hook. This is nuts. This doesn't even account for all the smaller watersheds that are breaking their banks and flooding whole towns in the surrounding areas...

There is so much going on it's unreal. Our local news networks have all admitted they can't keep up.
Narrowly missed getting hit by two tornadoes last night, both went on to do some serious damage northeast of us.

Hey I need help planting a few flowers turns into digging up the whole flower beds. Found some type of fungus that if left alone will kill all the plants.

Got a break in the rain long enough to get the lawn mowed. Took the car southeast to the mountain roads with the local Camaro group on Saturday, had a blast. Saw the flooding in Muskogee on the way, absolutely ridiculous. It will take a long, long time to recover across the state.

Well my weekend was both good and bad.
Bad in that I'm scrambling to get my wife to Panama, her mom fell and broke her hip. So there's that.
Good in that I finally got the Vert home, top is done. Car runs very well for having 210k miles on it. Still a lot of stuff needs to be done but it's moving along.
I'm getting into the Vert life. We took it for a cruise down to the beach. Besides having head lights constantly blinding me in mirrors and the eerie feeling on how quiet it is compared to the Trans Am. Sat at a light and thought was it on?Last edited by SMWS6TA; 05-28-2019 at 08:05 AM.
