It is a 1996 Daytona Pace car
It was the Actual Track car in the 1996 race, It was a special events vehicle for the 1997 race. The program from the 1996 race has a photot spread with my car in it and an artist pis on the cover. I have pics of it on the track at the 500 and pics in another race in July of 96 and pics at the 1997 500, The decal kit on it is from the last race it was used on 1997 Daytona 500. All original and a lot of fun to drive.

OK hope to clear this up, the whole transformula thing is my own creation since my car is a formula and I put the T/A hatch with the high rise spoiler on it and it has similar characteristics of the T/A I thought I would make it a one of a kind creation 1/2 formula 1/2 trans am hence the name Trans-Formula I had the door badges on both sides made to read Trans-Formula with factory door badges then I had a guy make me that plaque you see that reads Trans Formula 1 of 1 to authenticate my creation and I also had an article in High Performance Pontiac about my Trans Formula guess you could say its my own twist to an already awesome car hope that clears things up let me know if you have any comments or questions

Thanks. I didnt even know that they were still running the IROC series...let alone that they were still using a firebird. I want to get me a true value trans am. Keep an eye out for me. Thanks guys.

I know what you mean... I call my Camaro "TransMaro" As the shifeter is from an '82 T/A, the wheels are off an '83 T/A, the T-tops are from an '84 t/a, the doors are from an '85 T/A, and the hatch was from an '86 t/a. Lol.

Did you plan that or were you wanting a piece of every year T/a on the Transmaro lol

Lol.. the plan when I bought it was to convert it into a Trans Am... but then after doing a lot of research and already buying MOST of the parts, I found out how much it would cost to change the rear quarters where the taillights are... and to leave the Camaro taillights would have looked dumb in my opinion... but the doors got backed into by 2 different people.. the t-tops were shattered when ditch was involved... I hated the 14" wheels it came with, so I bought the 15"s... the hatch shattered when one of the lifts failed while packing out for college... and the shifter I just loved.
