Nice! Thinking about a similar color for our '67 Cutlass.

It was a factory color in 1970. Shadow Gray #17. This car was repainted in 1995 bc/cc BASF. I can get you the color # if you want.
Bowtie good! Blue oval not so good! Bob in the PRK

Since it is a factory GM color, that might not be a bad idea. Thanks!

Can I start in here even if there is no real muscle in it yet? 1962 Buick Skylark, 2 door sedan, white w/ blue interior, w/ an all aluminum V8 215 w/ a AFB4 barrel and an auto trans of some sort! ALL STOCK but the mag wheels.
No pics till I get the front end fixed, (right front wheels crooked) and the car needs to be washed, brakes working and new battery.............. then I can feel okay about pics!
Also 1998 S-10 currently w/ a V6 but getting the LQ9 w/ 4l60E soon I hope- engine is still on the stand waiting it's turn!, but I got the LS1 Camaro 12" disc's/ calipers ready to put on this weekend!

Sure. The title says "Classics check in", not classic muscle. Anyway, it's cool with the all aluminum Buick V8 still intact. Did you know that engine was the basic construction for Range Rover V8 engines, up to (I think) the 4.0. They may have make it into the 4.6l, but I know that it was the original Buick V8 from the early 60s. Go ahead, doubters, check and see what oil filter fits these engines....

^^^very nice. I always love seeing modern rubber on vintage cars, instead of the reproduction skinny stuff they used to wear.

Not me, guess I'm the opposite, prefer more of a stock look on most of my stuff.

    Looks good to me.......

Chris and Jones very nice! I dont car which tires they have as long as they look good. However I bet those skinny tires take forever to get traction. Gosh both of those cars look good!

Naaa,,,,they work pretty good actually, I've used them in pure stock racing on my 70 firebird,,,,1.8x 60 foot times. The F.A.S.T. guys use them to cut sub 1.6 60 foot times and are dipping into the 9's.

Thanks for the complements guys! It still doesn't hook up well with the bigger rubber under it. It still spins the first 3 gears.

Needs proper suspension work also, eh?

I just like how modern rubber vastly enhances older cars all around driving, especially when having fun on 2 lane curvy roads, like a good rubber upgrade always does.

Not really, I have the front sway bar loose (it still has to be hooked up) and I run an old set of oil filled shocks up front. The back suspension is completely stock 1970 issue (no traction devices allowed). Pinion angle is tweaked. The rest is just practice. My suspension isn't nearly as trick as some of the cars in the class, it just works good as is.

Here is a good shot showing how good she just squats and goes, and this is about half track, well past the 330 foot mark. This was a heads up race against a procharged LT1 bird. Imagine his surprise when a bone stock 70 formy put it on him He had to find me in the pits after this little grudge match
