Nice paint job. I like that color-very rich looking.

BTW How do you post pics like this in your post? I ask because for some reason I am unable to (or cant figure it out)

You need to use a site like Flicker or Photobucket.

You upload your pics there and then copy/paste the url into [IMG] www.pic.com [\IMG]

Get the car (vert) back...Head gasket

GM must really hate mechanics working on F Bodies. The 3.8 is more a PITA to get to the cylinder heads then a LS. So much to remove just to get to the upper intake.

My new clutch started getting tight and not wanting to go into gear, noticed some odd noises under the dash and found this.

New Tick adjustable MC had a bent shaft and must of been spinning for the past 200 miles! I wrenched and tried my best to straighten it out enough to screw the adjustment nut back onto the shaft. Hooked it back up and the new McLeod clutch kit is working again, pedal action is more than it was when I picked it up from the shop but it is less than OEM pedal height.

I had to rig up a stop gap device for the switch that "sees" the clutch pedal is up as it was throwing a P0704 code. After installing the device the code hasn't returned. As the car ended up in a shop due to running past the limitations of a prior mechanic I am not sure where the mess up occurred. Oddly enough this was the easiest and quickest fix to the transmission since September when the entire ordeal started.

FYI....if you order something from gmpartsdirect.com be prepared for a wait from hell.

Instead of drop shipping from their warehouse to you, they send it to NC where they're located and then send it to you.

Changed my oil, Mobile 1 extended performance full synthetic and a WIX 51042XP filter. Oil had a strong gas smell, was dark but not black and no water I could see or metallic bits other than a few on the oil drain plug. While I had the car up on stands I replaced the DRL bulbs (1 was replaced last week after driving in the rain and discovering the housing full of water). Sockets were corroded so I scrapped and hit with CRC electronic cleaner, wiped down, and applied silicone to the gaskets. New bulbs are nice and bright, I got a 10 pack to be safe. Will have to pull the housing to see how water got into it soon and get it sealed to prevent bulbs from blowing in the future.

When was the last time that you changed the air filter and PCV? I know that when I change those, my oil smells less funkadellic.

I got a new windshield in mine. Been scared to take it out cause I know if I get a chip or another crack I'm going to go mid-evil on who or what causes it.

I've been holding off tinting my glass and putting in a new dash top because I am afraid of a chip, as well.

Air filter was changed along with the fuel filter in September (car was in the shop 3 months - don't ask). Cleaned the throttle body, changed the oil, got a MAF code so I cleaned that. Haven't made my way to the PCV yet. Thinks keep popping up that make it hard to keep on schedule... My clutch master cylinder started leaking, I noticed it this morning so that will park the car during the warranty work on the MC.

Took a ride out to the AACA Museum in Hershey PA today to attend the Sizzling Summer Cruise In this morning. Fancy way of saying cars and coffee and the museum even provided breakfast! Great event, crazy wide selection of cars. One of the big highlights was seeing one of their prized museum cars , the last surviving Tucker with an automatic transmission make parade laps around the museum. Took lots of photos but not one of my car, drat!

Took my daughter out in the WS6 for its weekly drive-thru lunch pick-up run.

She has forgotten what turning in a car that can turn feels like, she’s only recently been in the Highlander and Fusion.
