That's funny and so true at the same time.

Yeah, I show him pictures all the time too. You guys keep me occupied, and that in turn, keeps him content and doing his own thing

Had a great Tri Tip Tonight. Untrimmed and used the lump for the first time. It's different that's for sure. But, I like it. I had to add more before it was done. So, still feeling it out.

That roll of bags came in today and I packaged up 8 NY bone in steaks and two racks of baby backs. The bags seem much thicker and a better texture than those I've been able to buy at the local stores.

Orion, have you tried them yet?

not yet...hell, I ain't even ordered them yet. I just finished up my last food saver brand bags and need to place an order for some of those.

That lump will take some getting used to. It burns hot and doesn't last as long as the bricks but on stuff that you're cooking for hours it makes a fraction of the ash that bricks make which is why I like it so much.

Yes, it is different. The first time I used it, I really had to keep an eye on things (even with the flames turned down about as low as possible).

I'm sorry, I meant the gas turned down as low as possible. I put some lump coals in there, but the majority will go in the charcoal grill.

The gas grill had coals in it when it was new. They'd line around the pilot, so I just lined a few lump coals around it and they work out nicely. They just burn a great deal more than the old brickettes.
