fuck dude, my tranny is so ef'd up. That's why i'm hesitating to lower the car b/c i just have a feelign the trans is gonna get fried this summer and i've been quoted a very reasonable 1200 to rebuild it

so if I were to port the heads-do i have to get a bigger cam? what could i expect in HP gain if I were to just put bigger, lighter heads on?

I know a guy here that does it for $250 plus parts and he works at the Chevy dealership. he does it on teh side. He is the one who done mine but I had it done a the Chevy dealership under warranty.

you dont have to get a bigger cam...you can if you want to.....I think my cam is too small for my heads but I got the cam fo free so no complaining here

I don't understand all of these companies not giving you the specs on the cam. I wouldn't buy one without knowing them. Then when you talk to someone it's like your an idiot cause you don't knowanything aobut the cam. I like knowing wwhat I have.

True, but I'd rather trust someone who can come up with a dynamic compression to work my 11.2 Static, and use my setup to its max, I'm getting what I want out of it in the end... would be nice to have the numbers right now, but I can understand why he'd keep it under wraps, I could be an engineer for a big company.... in which case I'd be making enough to turn an LS7 into that 455 I'm dreaming about
