Been working on the interior of the car today. What started out as 'removing the rear speakers to install a new package tray" has turned into "I did remove the rear speakers, the wiring to the rear speakers, the radio, the front speakers and their wiring, replaced and made-work the bulbs in the instrument cluster that werent working, repositioned the tach, refinishing the aluminum dash panel I purchased a week ago so I can put that in and who knows what else before the night is over." Oh, and I did get the new package tray in and only half the interior panels that I've removed have gone back in..
On the plus side of things...the old-ass tape deck still works and the included tape (Rod Stewart and ELO) still works too!! Just had a blown fuse. I will probably throw it back in just so there's not a gaping hole in the dash, but it won't be wired up or working. So far, only one mystery wire. It's grey, comes out of the same bundle as the ground and switched power the radio was running on, but does not get power, ever, it's not constant nor is it switched.

That would be the weekend of the Gasser Reunion at Beaver Springs. One of the "must go to shows" of the season.
I am pleased to report that a deer got beefed tonight and Dawn was not the culprit. My sister-in-law took one with the driver side front bumper and tore the Commander all to hell. I had to run down and drill holes in the bumper cover and wheel well liner in order to zip tie things together enough to go down the road.

Just installed the last air conditioner... it's going hot starting today and for the next few. We're blowing off the family picnic this weekend in favor of Beaver Springs. It has probably been a month since our last trip down and we really miss it.
