The Jets as a team have been shit for years, as good as Favre is, he still needs receivers and runners and a line to block.

Farve should of stayed retired and did an announcer deal.

Why? How does it affect you either way?

I mean, he did make up his mind once. He retired. Then changed his mind.

You don't change your mind, ever?

His argument is that he was also pushed into retirement. It wasnt like the Packers were begging him to keep playing and he retired anyways on his own. They pushed him out and all the shit went down, now hes on the Jets. We'll see what happens. I can tell you one thing, the Jets are gonna be better then they were in years past. Chad Pennington has a water gun for an arm.

any other person who retires from a job, then starts drama on getting his old job back would get the big fuck you in the real world.

its one thing to change your mind on personal matters, its another when it affects a whole team.

    No they wouldn't.

You don't turn your back on talent/skill/expertise in <whatever area>. You don't say "sorry, even though you give us the best shot at winning/hitting the sales goal/snagging the #1 client, we aren't going to hire you because you retired and now are changing your mind".

its one thing to change your mind on personal matters, its another when it affects a whole team.
I would just about guarantee you that the team would rather have Favre back there than Rogers. But nevertheless, they're professionals, I can't imagine they were affected one way or the other.

Personally, I think Favre made himself look like an ass. He had a storybook season last year that he will NEVER replicate. He broke all Marino's records and retired as a legend. Now he is going to come back and show his age and that last season was a fluke. I don't see what he is trying to do. He has won a Superbowl, so he doesn't have to come back for one last shot. I don't blame the Packers organization one bit for the way they handled this. Favre retired and they moved on. Rodgers may not be the answer, but give the kid his shot. I also think the Jets made a good move b/c Favre certainly gives them a better shot than Pennington. As was said earlier Favre should have just became an announcer and went out on top of his game.

Keep thinking that naive line of thought.

The Packers screwed the pooch on this. If anyone truly believes that Rogers offers them the best chance to win, they're nuts. The good thing is the season is right around the corner and it won't take long to be proven.

I would love to have Favre on my team. Even as backup he brings experiance and wisdom and can mentor younger quarterbacks.

    Experience and wisdom, yes.

Mentor.......no way. Ask Aaron Rodgers, or any other backup he's ever had. Favre is not a teacher, and he openly admits that.
