the afflication card is in cali, i have tickets for it. Im supprised with all you these guys on here talking about stopping the fight early and all that, had nothing to say about the illegal powerbomb (or whatever you want to call it) that Marquart did in that same fight. I am a huge fan of his, but he would have lost the fight because of lost points if they would have counted that. Hey Eddie, i noticed you train, let me know if you need help with anything, i train and fight on base and just did the pancration tournement to so let me know.

Nobody has dismissed the pile driver he did. It IS surprising that it wasnt mentioned though.

The latest rumor for this card is hilarious:

July 19 could become a crowded night for mixed martial arts.

The UFC is currently planning an event that Saturday night to be televised live on Spike TV, Sherdog.com has learned from multiple industry sources.

The proposed event would take place the same evening that popular clothing line entrepreneurs Affliction will make their foray into the pay-per-view market with "Banned," its first MMA event at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. Zuffa's impromptu event, which is being pulled together on five weeks' notice, is tentatively scheduled to be held in Las Vegas.

Studied strikers Wanderlei Silva (Pictures) and Brandon Vera (Pictures) have been approached to clash in a light heavyweight main event, though other combinations of one or both of these fighters are also being considered.

The question is "If the UFC hosts a July 19 event, what are your MMA plans for that evening?"

a) Just watch Affliction's PPV

b) View Affliction, DVR UFC's show

c) Just watch UFC

d) View UFC, DVR Affliction's PPV

e) No July 19 MMA for me

not a big fan of dana white here. he's so coniving(sp?) if they were both ppv it would be a no brainer for me. but i usually watch mma with my brothers so it will have to be put to a vote.

Whose gonna win this fight in UFC 86, Brock Lesnar vs Heath Herring? I would really like to see Brock start crushing people like i know he can and stay away from leg locks.

he is such a gifted HUMONGOUS athlete and if he starts to practice jiu jitsu and other arts as much as he lifts weights he will be an unstopable athelete, he is obviously a great wrestler. And he has fists bigger than anyone in MMA. I would of thought they would put him with weaker fighters to start though

For me, it kind of depends on the bar! However, Affliction's card is what I want to see and I can always see the UFC later on the internet. Then again, you KNOW affliction will be 10x easier to find on youtube than UFC will be...

If UFC is on Spike, then it may NOT be on a bar's schedule. PPV vs. commercials....I dont know. Again, it depends, but I am routing for Affliction.

Agreed HH is another bad match up for Brock.

True you can always record the Spike show, but so far it is (still) not official...

Prolly tough for Dana to create a show only (less than) five weeks out.

I don,t think he's forced he wants both belt and there is no competition at 185 for him right now. Although I would like to see st. pierre go up a weight and fight silva

thats what i want to see. its short notice and he would prob struggle to make 185. but i do think dana is makin him fight to make a good card to put affliction out of business. hes a shrude business man... and a dick.
