Silver or Black??

only problem is it's SO hard to find a black m6 that i can afford in my area... i went to look at the silver one today and it looks very good.. gonna bring my dad and his friend to look at it tomorrow so i can get another opinion and if it all works out i'll probably get it

Oh.. i have a question, i think he was lying to me.. but we'll see...

The car is supposedly all stock.. they had different exhaust pipes on it.. they didn't look good though, they were 2 kinda big pipes coming out the back.. just round ended pipes.. not really sure cuz i didn't really look too hard.. but i know what the stock ones look like, and that wasn't it

He told me that this car's exhaust was stock and ithe came with the "sound performance upgrade option" from the factory or something like that...

I have NEVER heard of that.. is that a real option or no?

Yeah well the carfax reported "unibody damage"

He said it was the passenger side fender that needed to be replaced.. so according to him it wasn't bad. I didn't notice any damage so they did a good job replacing it, but that's what I'm gonna use to bring him down..

The car's been sittin on their lot for like 3-4 months so I know they're anxious to sell it

i dont have a trans am but my brother has a black camaro and it is so hard to keep clean and you can see every speck of dust on it. one day he went through the car wash and then drove 35 miles with no gravel and you could already see dust on it!

unibody damage? that's not good. I would keep looking until you can find a black one with an M6, it would be worth the wait.

yeah there was something wrong with it according to my dad's friend.. he was driving it, and as he let off the gas there was a slight.. "shudder" or "rumble" in the gas pedal.. he said it felt like it could have been something wrong with uhh.. the bottom end of the engine.. not really sure what he meant.. is it normal for t/a's to do that.. i know it's a bad description but I didn't really know what he meant

Sounds like a good choice to pass on that one. It's probably why it's still there. To much for something that has been damaged and may need work. IMO that's one that you wouldn't want to pay over the trade in value for.

yeah well he was pretty stuck on 9k for it... unfortunately there's no other 6 speeds in my area.. there's a black 2001 ws6 m6 with a little over 102k miles and they're asking for 11,995.. it's about an hour and a half away.. might get out to look at it this weekend.. do you think that's too mcuh for the miles?

If the carfax checks out and it hasn't been structurally damage it isn't a bad price seeing it's a WS6. Make sure you check the code on the door for it too. Also providing it runs good that car should be a good deal. Of course try to talk them down a bit though.

When you go look at it there is a sticker on the drivers door that list the options the car came with. WS6 should be listed on there. If not they should give another $1000 or so off.

Yup, you can also call your local pontiac service shop and they can check it on their computer by the vin.
