155 plus several times in my 99 6 speed z......burried 155 for a good 20 sec once so prolly 160 racing a 99 or 01 cobra...not sure which it was........i left him very quickly around 130 plus.........was nearly even till that point though........think they top out around 148...so he didnt have a chance

Are the stock SS's speed limited? When I had my 93 Z I burried it past 150 but my 00 SS shifts into OD at around 130 and seems to flatten at 145...

for those of you who have an auto trans...did you realize the speed where it finally shifted? i hit 135 if not more and it shifted...surpirsed 3rd went that high

in my ss i went 160+ till i hit the limiter, and 189 on my buddys R1. which was ridiculous how windy it was, i looked back to see my friend and it felt like i was gonna fall off

I have an 02 R1 and pretty impressed to see that you were able to see 189...I've gone 172 on it and there is no way I'd be able to look back at that speed...

Dang all I have is a 94 A4 Z...I posted awile back my one and only top end test...went right up to indicated 147 which the tachometer reading verified with calculations....I have heard some SS speeds of 160 or so...may have to umm....massage the chip though..I am not sure. Anyway at 147 my ride was amazingly composed....admittedly it was a totally flat and level expressway surface. Same car did 2 identical runs 14.59/96 at the strip...

135 MPH probably.

I keep it on the track now. Fastest it has gone recently is about 120MPH...in the quarter mile.
My fix isn't top speed, but how fast I can run a short distance. Acceleration is my thing.
Would love to run it outside of Colorado sometime. Should trap near 130MPH.

Dang Mr. Luos...11.97/118 is stout as heck as are ur RWHP/Torque!! Would you share your mods please...lot of us would benefit from your experience.

I see allot of posts with 140-145 top speeds and some over, is there a limiter that has to be removed?
