Pretty much better now. I have a scab over the bite area it is still a nice bump. And almost all the bruising has went away. The best thing is being off the Bactrim that they had me on seeing that you have to avoid sunlight or it makes you feel sick.
Thats not the easiest thing to do when it is sunny EVERY fuc_ing day here...

I have no problem admitting that i am the biggest puss in the world when it comes to spiders. they scare the shit outta me. One day when i was about 15 i woke up and went to the bathroom to take a piss when i looked down and about 2" from my bare foot was the biggest damn spider i had ever seen, don't know what it was but it was brown and about 3" in diameter. I jumped and ran outta the restroom almost pissing on myself, went to the gun cabinet and got my 40 cal. decided that wouldn't be a good idea so i grabbed my grandfathers cane instead just so happened that my grandmother was still up and saw the whole thing. she asked me what happened and when i told her she laughed at me and went into the bathroom. the spider was still there and she reaches down with her bare hand and smashes it. when i see a snake i have no problem with getting rid of it, picking it up and moving it outta the way, killing it etc. but you come near me with a spider and i will kick you in the nuts and run like a lil girl lol

........ Thats funny sh_t. I had a similar incident when I was 16 staying at my highschool sweet hearts lake cottage. I was suposed to be sleeping down stairs on the couch which is were her parents room was. So I sneeked upstairs to get my freak on and mission acomplished I fell asleep for min or two afterwards.........Thought I was dreaming that there was a BIG A_S spider crawling on my chest and I already could NOT stand spiders so I half a_s woke up and opened my eyes.......There was a BIG A_S spider on my chest!!! I screamed like a little bit_h also and woke up both her parents and her older brother down stairs......
Needless to say I was NO longer allowed to spend the night at there cottage.

The Dr. told me it all depends on the persons reaction to the bite and weather or not they get medical attention.
When I got bite the first time a year and a half ago I waited much longer to get help and they cut a much LARGER piece out of my other leg. I know have a indented scar that caves in somewhat.
I actually cought that BI_CH and held her prisoner in a plastic cookie container from the groacery until a couple mothes ago she died. I would feed her sometimes crickets and she would pretty much kill whatever we put in the container. She had two legs that came to a point that she used as a dagger or sword and would jab it through her enemy and that quickly wind it up with web. Wait 20 min. or so and go back to such ALL the fluid out of there heads.
I had to keep her in prison because after she cost me $1000 it would of been too easy to just step on her. My partner actually cought her with some long needle nose pliers after I recovered and made it back to the shop.
You should of seen some of the customers that would walk up to the container or even pick it up andd then realize what was inside........ It was a nice conversation piece in the office at the shop for well over a year.

Not that I know of.... I know both times it worked it way into the bones in my legs and made my muscle tissue hurt like hell everytime I moved.

Funny you say that. I just caught a larger tarantula up at the Grand Canyon and brought it home and put it in with my other tarantula. They were good for a little over a week than I woke up one morning and the larger black one (male) had already killed Sally the brown one (female).
He had already ripped all of her legs off and was sucking on her main bulb or what looks like there shell.

Black Widow venom is extremely potent, (15 times as potent than that of the rattlesnakes; it is also reported to be much more potent than the venom of cobras and coral snakes).

In the case of a mature female, the hollow, needle shaped part of each chelicera, the part that penetrates the skin, is approximately 1.0 mm (around .04 inch) long, sufficiently long to inject the venom to a dangerous depth.

The males, being much smaller, can inject far less venom and inject it far less deeply. The actual amount injected, even by a mature female, is very small in physical volume.

When this small amount of venom is diffused throughout the body of a healthy, mature human, it usually does not amount to a fatal dose (though it can produce the very unpleasant symptoms of Latrodectism). Deaths in healthy adults from Latrodectus bites are relatively rare in terms of the number of bites per thousand people.

Only 63 deaths were reported in the United States between 1950 and 1989. On the other hand, the geographical range of the widow spiders is very great.
As a result, far more people are exposed, world-wide, to widow bites than are exposed to bites of more dangerous spiders, so the highest number of deaths world-wide are caused by members of their genus.

Widow spiders have more potent venom than most spiders, and prior to the development of antivenom, 5% of reported bites resulted in fatalities.

Currently, there are three recognized species of black widow found in North America:
The southern black widow (L. mactans)
The northern black widow (L. variolus)
The western black widow (L. hesperus)

As the name indicates, the southern widow is primarily found (and is indigenous to) the southeastern United States, ranging from Florida to New York, and west to Texas and Oklahoma.
Specimens have been found in California as well.

The northern widow is found primarily in the northeastern US and southeastern Canada (only on the Bruce Peninsula), though its ranges overlap that of L. mactans quite a bit.

The western widow is found in the western half of the United States, as well as in southwestern Canada and much of Mexico. Prior to 1970, when the current taxonomic divisions for North American black widows were set forth by Kaston, all three varieties were classified as a single species, L. mactans.

As a result, there exist numerous references which claim that "black widow" (without any geographic modifier) applies to L. mactans alone.

As common usage of the term "black widow" makes no distinction between the three species (and many laypersons are unaware of the differences between them).
