We're back, and it's done. Set off up the coast in the SS last Monday and about an hour into the trip a cold eerie feeling followed by anger came over me. I had left the ring at home! I had no excuse to go back and get it. I was so angry, yet couldn't show it. My eye was twitching and I felt that my head might explode.

I am such a shmuck!

I asked her while we were out for a walk on a break wall overlooking the Pacific. Full moon, calm night, all the trimmings the girlies like. She said yes. She thought it was funny I had forgotton the ring. She said she noticed I went a little quiet for a while in the car.

Now comes the expensive part...
